  • 56. Mental health basics for Parentpreneurs featuring Keisha Reaves

Imagine building a business all while parenting. The potential hardships are numerous. Keisha teaches us on what to look out for, how to address those issues, and how to support fellow Parentpreneurs.

Keisha Reaves is a licensed professional counselor with a specialty in maternal health owns a private practice in Dunwoody, Georgia. Serving women with life transition issues, postpartum depression, infertility issues, and women who have experienced recent miscarriages has become her specialty and passion. She likes empowering women of all sorts and encouraging women through holistic practices, physical health and talk therapy. Being a new mom herself and hearing from clients and friends about the difficult transition into motherhood, she felt like there was a need for support. Often when people come to the hospital after a baby is born they go straight to the baby and ignore the lethargic, worn mother that just gave birth to the bundle of joy. She found that there were so many items and resources for women who were pregnant, but not much for women after they have the baby during those crucial months of transition. Keisha obtained her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Services from Clayton State University. She then completed her master's degree in counseling and Psychology at University of West Alabama. She is a wife and mother to almost two-year-old, Ezra.
