Thanksgiving is just around the corner and, soon after, Christmas follows. During these times there is much to be grateful for, happy about, and to celebrate . It is always a good thing when family, friends and so many, come together on the same days to celebrate life. It is in the air. We can see the decorations, feel the mood, hear the sounds, smell food being cooked and can almost taste it all. But most important is sharing ourselves and our appreciation for each other and the hope we have for a better future.
What moves us to ask questions? When did we begin? Is it an ability we have lost, or was it taken away from us? I hope these questions, and what will be my thinking about what I believe happened, arouses your curiosity.
Today what I am going to talk about may not apply to you if you are young or relatively so. If you are, you may know someone who could benefit from this talk…, mom, dad, grandma or grandpa, for example. Share it with them. They will thank you.
This episode is about my religious, or not, view about certain aspects of religion. It is about the heart versus the head, belief and trust ,and whether there is a difference between a blessing, a miracle and a coincidence.
Today I talk about "not" being able to know, why we must "not" have that ability, and why we should thank God we don’t.
I know. It sounds counterintuitive, right? The mind is too curious for that.
Today, one of my realized perceptions of Time draws a distinction between what I call “Wholesale” Time and “Retail” Time. Also in this episode, I go off track a little to talk about seeing the future. It would seem we actually do.
It could get weird . So, you will really have to mind your mind for this one.
In this episode I talk about the days of the week, our gratitude and the national chant for one, and the national lament for another. Regardless, it should not make a difference in terms of when life happens.
Today I want to talk about how numbers are used to categorize our lives, the myth that is Time management and the real value in managing our life energy. It’s time for a shift in perspective. Time to mind your mind.
Today, I want to talk about happiness, what is it, and how you know you are. Do you know what the Greek philosopher Democritus thought about the nature of happiness? What about Socrates and his student Plato? What did they think? Of course, Aristotle had his own views about happiness.
Hello everyone. This is going to be a first for me. I am going to do something I’ve never done before, much less in public, and in a space like this.
Why now? I don’t know. Maybe it is just timing and inspiration.
