Naujan Lake is the fifth largest lake in the Philippines. It is also a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. The protected area supports large populations of waterbirds, including the threatened Philippine Duck, as well as other species of migratory birds. NLNP has significant socio-economic importance but a myriad of factors that threaten the environment of the lake and its surrounding forested areas.
