In this episode, I talk with Paulette Erato, creator, producer, and host of La Vida Más Chévere and The Maker Muse Podcast, on how people-pleasing and not having boundaries is damaging to one's growth.
We talk about ways to develop healthy boundaries for yourself before you implement boundaries for others.
How it is important to self-reflect on how you feel when "people-pleasing", if it makes you feel uncomfortable or drained, stop doing it but if it brings you joy then it's okay.
We also talk about the importance of "baby steps" to manage stress and anxiety while making progress with adulting.
Paulette Erato is the creator, producer, and host of La Vida Más Chévere and The Maker Muse Podcast. These are inspirational conversations for all childfree, Spanglish-speaking Latines to find their confidence by overcoming the toxicity of "calladita culture" and imposter syndrome. It questions the societal norms we hold about everything we've been taught (like being child-free!) without disrespecting the ancestors who laid the path for us to rise. Because if we as Latines can learn to collectively get past the BS of staying quiet, people-pleasing, and actually creating healthy boundaries, wouldn’t that be rad?
