My interviewee in this podcast is filmmaker Shen Koshang.(沈可尚), who was an Award winner in 2000 and 2001 and then a jury member in 2008 and 2009. This is the 2nd interview I conducted in Taiwan in December 2013 regarding the Golden Harvest Award. I have been researching and writing an academic paper on the Golden Harvest Award as part of the research activities faciliated by the Chinese Film Festival Studies Research Network funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, UK. The final meeting of the Research Network took place in June 2014.

My interview with Dr Chia-ling Yang, who organised Spotlight Taiwan: Contemporary Taiwanese Art, Culture and Cinema in Scotland, 27/11-3/12/2013. Dr Yang detailed the characteristics, aims, challenges, organisational practicalities and the vision of the event in the interview,which took place on 29 November 2013 in Edinburgh.

This special podcast contains the Q&A session of the Public Forum on "Concentration of Media Ownership and the Threat to Democracy in Taiwan", which was initiated by the student-led UK for Taiwan Media Freedom and co-organized by the Centre for Taiwan Studies, SOAS on 30 January 2013. The moderator of the forum was Victor Chan of the BBC World Service. The invited speakers included Professor Gary Rawnsley (Leeds), Dr Ming-Yeh Rawnsley (Leeds), Dr Monique Chu (SOAS) and Professor Fan Yun (National Taiwan University).
