In this episode, we're digging deeper into the very heart of the liturgy: the Eucharist. Specifically, we're exploring how the Eucharist connects us with Christ, our Paschal Lamb, and what that means for us in our everyday lives.
On this special episode of Mining The Mysteries, we are excited to share an interview with Fr. Mark Perkins, the Chaplain and Assistant Headmaster, and Mr. Thomas Fickley, the Headmaster and Founder of St. Dunstan's Academy. This traditional Anglican boarding school is located in Central Virginia and is set to open its doors in the near future.
St. Dunstan's Academy aims to educate and train young men who are entering high school by helping them develop a rule of life that includes the Eucharist, Morning Prayer, and Evening Prayer. In addition to this spiritual foundation, students will engage with the Great Books and learn various practical skills in trades.

The Lord's Prayer sums up the entire intention of the Mass. It looks forward to the future consummation of God's Kingdom in the life of the world to come and recalls the present-day blessings of God's people in the here and now. In this way, the Lord's Prayer could be said to have one foot planted firmly in the present and another foot planted firmly in the future.
We are recording this podcast on October 18th, the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist. St. Luke was not only an evangelist and the author of the Gospel of Luke and The Acts of the Apostles, but he was also an iconographer, historian, and physician. Today, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Matthew McCarthy, a physician and a Christian in the Anglican tradition, to explore the intersection of faith and science as it relates to questions of life, living, and death.
In this episode, we continue our exploration of the liturgy, focusing on the biblical, historical, and theological aspects of worship. We dig deeper into the meaning of our Lord's sacrifice and our response as we examine "The Consecration" within the liturgy. Join us as we discuss how we were created for sacrifice and thanksgiving.
We are continuing to make our way through the Mass,
Today, we have a special episode with Bishop Chandler Holder Jones, SSC, to discuss Christian responsibility in a democratic republic.
In today's world, there is much alarm about the current state of our country. Institutions once seen as a means of protecting the American people have become hostile, leading to a breakdown of trust. Education, the media, and even the military have become social experiments, manipulating truth and working towards a global agenda. As Christians and citizens of the United States, we must have a thorough theological framework on what we should be doing in these trying times. Join us as we delve into this topic and explore what it means to be a responsible Christian in a democratic republic.
In this episode, we pick up where we left off last week and dig deeper into the topics of Confession, Absolution, and Comfortable Words as we transition from the Liturgy of the Catechumen to the Liturgy of the Sacrament.
In these next two episodes we will be discussing the Invitation, Confession, Absolution, and Comfortable Words as we transition from the Liturgy of the Catechumen to the Liturgy of the Sacrament.
In this special episode, we are excited to have Olympic athlete Bridget Williams back with us following her return from the 2024 Paris Olympics to discuss the competition and address some of the obstacles and challenges she encountered during the event.
