Priorities are what we have to do in order to fulfill our purpose. Priorities get into the steps our actions you take in order to fulfill your purpose.

How do you get to a clear, concise, and compelling purpose? What makes a good purpose statement? We know God has given every church the purpose of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. How do you state that purpose for your church?

Every church has the same purpose. Scripture makes it clear what the church should be doing. However, we let culture, religious tradition, and preferences to cloud our purpose. Jesus has already given the church her purpose through the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

A strong church is built upon a strong sense of purpose. Purpose drives everything within the organization. Purpose deals with the question, “why do you exist?” If you don’t know why your church exists, you are really going to struggle.

How can a leader develop the skills necessary for ministry? In order to minister well we need spiritual empowerment, but we also need natural skills.

How do we have a plan for our church to do the ministry we are called to do? When you study Scripture, the Holy Spirit empowered the apostles to use strategy in their ministries. Jesus called his disciples to be strategic.

When you read Scripture, you see that the work of the Church is accomplished through the power of the Holy Spirit. Although we seek to give practical tips through our experiences, it is important to realize that our power is not in our techniques. We need the power of the Spirit.
