  • A Tribute to Minnesota Boxers
In this episode of the Minnesota Fight Night Podcast, we’re pleased to present highlights from the Nov. 3 Tribute to Minnesota Boxers at the VFW in Richfield. Hosted by J.R. Maddox of The Boxing Report, the event paid homage to Minnesota boxers past and present. From bantamweights to heavyweights, journeymen to champions, the boxers showed up in big numbers to shake hands, take photos, say a few words and soak in some well-deserved accolades. Old rivals reconnected and reminisced, and new relationships took root. The boxers on hand came from a wide range of backgrounds and various parts of the state. Some are long retired, others are just beginning their boxing journey. One common thread: each of the boxers has contributed greatly to the legacy of Minnesota boxing and has represented the sport well. Intro music: “Ali Shuffle,” by the Toler/Townsend Band.
