Hola, chicos de ¨Threespeak-Community¨: Esta ha sido otra semana que ha pasado rapidísimo; sin darnos cuenta, ha llegado el momento de comentarles alguna novedad de lo ocurrido durante la semana. Esta ha sido realmente muy divertida porque fue el cumpleaños de mi amigo Gero.

Este año han cambiado mucho las celebraciones de cumpleaños, sobre todo en el colegio con los compañeros de la escuela. Les he comentado que este es el último año de la etapa primaria escolar; es como si todos estuviéramos más grandes, por eso las celebraciones no las hacemos en nuestra casa junto a nuestras familias, ahora las hacemos aparte. La celebración del cumpleaños de Gerónimo se realizó en una sala de cine, por eso sus padres me invitaron a su cumple, junto con otras compañeras. La función del cine comenzaba a las 17.00 hs, pero nosotros llegamos bastante antes; como el cine está dentro de un paseo de compras, aprovechamos para recorrer el lugar.

This year birthday celebrations have changed a lot, especially at school with classmates. I've told them that this is the last year of primary school; it's like we're all older, so we don't celebrate at home with our families anymore, we do it separately. Gerónimo's birthday celebration was held at a movie theater, so his parents invited me to his party, along with some other classmates. En el centro comercial hay un salón donde se festejan cumpleaños, y tuvimos la suerte de que nos dejaran pasar para divertirnos en la fiesta hasta que comenzara la función. El cumple de Gero ha sido muy divertido; la sala de cine estaba totalmente vacía, por lo que teníamos todo el salón para nosotros. Vimos una hermosa película, nos divertimos mucho comiendo palomitas y bebiendo gaseosas. La verdad es que me encantan estas celebraciones, y por lo que hablamos con mi mamá, la mía también será así. Esas han sido las novedades de la semana y les quería comentar.

There's a room at the mall where they have birthday parties, and we were lucky enough to get in to have fun at the party until the movie started. Gero's birthday was so much fun; the movie theater was completely empty, so we had the whole room to ourselves. We watched a great movie and had a blast eating popcorn and drinking soda. I really love these celebrations, and from what my mom and I talked about, mine will be like this too. That's what's been happening this week, and I wanted to share it with you.

Esta ¨especie¨: de ave no es muy común que la hallemos en el fondo de casa, especialmente si la consigna es conseguir un ave joven. En otras ocasiones hemos visto a una madre, pero las veces que los encontramos han sido ejemplares adultos. Es la segunda vez que damos con un jovencito posado en las ramas del árbol.

Son aves preciosas, estos ¨ejemplares¨: se posan en lo alto de las ramas para atrapar a los insectos que vuelan en las alturas. La verdad es que son preciosos, aun este, que no tiene el color tan llamativo como las aves adultas.

Hace algunos días mi mamá tuvo que concurrir a una reunión de "tutores" a causa de lo que está sucediendo en las escuelas "primarias" y "secundarias". Resulta que en algunas escuelas de Argentina algunos alumnos han adoptado comportamientos atroces que suceden en otras partes del mundo. Para que los alumnos se vean sin posibilidad de llevar "armas" al colegio, se adoptó la medida de reemplazar las mochilas por un bolso transparente donde se visibiliza el contenido escolar que llevamos a las "aulas". Lo cierto es que todo esto está pasando a causa del ¨bullying¨ que desgraciadamente cada año que pasa se pone peor. En mi casa estamos en contra de esto; en lo particular, jamás hago bromas de mal gusto, tampoco permito que otros hagan a mis compañeros. Esta sería una manera de acabar con lo que está sucediendo en todo el país. Antes jamás en los colegios llevaron armas para "atentar" con la "vida" de los "alumnos".

La verdad es que no sabemos cómo se comportan estas aves cuando son ¨jóvenes¨: lo que sí sabemos es que cuando son adultas tienen un trinar realmente hermoso. También cambian mucho el color de su plumaje; los adultos tienen el color de sus plumas más brillantes y llamativos. En el video podemos ver a dos ejemplares adultos, y en la última fotografía vemos a un joven para que puedan notar la diferencia.

They also change the color of their plumage a lot; the adults have brighter and more striking feather colors. Con mucha recomendación y con el compromiso de Belem, quien se ocupó de cuidarnos, finalmente pudimos hacer la ansiada pijamada. Toda la organización estuvo a cargo de nosotras; Gio preparó "yogur" con "cereal", mientras que yo preparaba una ensalada de deliciosas gomitas para acompañar la divertida película que veíamos en su enorme habitación. La verdad, nos divertimos mucho, y entre películas fuimos haciendo algo de manualidades, prepararnos unas hermosas pulseras que obsequiamos a nuestras familias. Esta es la primera pijamada que hago en un lugar que no sea mi casa, y espero que de ahora en más Brenda me dé más autorizaciones para visitar las casas de otras amigas.

Hace unas semanas retomamos los cursos de catequesis; seguro recordarán que el año anterior fue mi primer año de aprendizaje, y como para poder recibir la comunión hay que concluir la enseñanza, ahora estamos iniciando el segundo año, y nos preparamos para recibir al "señor" Jesús este año. La iglesia donde hacemos el catecismo es la misma del año pasado, y la gran mayoría de los chicos siguen asistiendo, lo que fue una alegría reencontrarnos.

Los días sábados nos encontramos en el patio para hablar y aprender todo sobre la religión, y los días domingos concurrimos a misa. Una vez que reciba la comunión, me tengo que preparar para la confirmación, que al igual que esta son dos años de formación religiosa. Todavía no tenemos fecha confirmada de cuándo será la "misa" para recibir el "sacramento", pero ni bien tenga una, me comprometo a hacer un video para comentarles.

On Saturdays we meet in the yard to talk and learn all about religion, and on Sundays we go to Mass. Once I receive Communion, I have to prepare for Confirmation, which, like Communion, is two years of religious formation. I'm so happy to be creating videos again to share with everyone who visits my posts weekly. Before we begin, I want to say that I missed you all very much, and I have a lot to tell you about that's been happening here lately. You probably remember my promise to share the details of how the school graduation polo shirt was made.

Este año los ¨directivos¨ del colegio crearon un concurso de ¨diseño¨ de ¨chombas¨, y el ¨diseño¨ ganador sería el modelo de la vestimenta de ¨promoción¨. Con mi mamá tuvimos la idea de ver diseños en la web, y nos inspiramos en ellos. La verdad es que a todas las madres del curso les encantó, y se podrán imaginar que el diseño ganador ha sido el nuestro. Estoy muy feliz de que haya sucedido.

This year the school administrators created a polo shirt design contest, and the winning design would be the model for the graduation uniform. My mom and I had the idea to look at designs online, and we were inspired by them. The truth is, all the mothers in the class loved it, and you can imagine that our design won. I'm so happy it happened.

Les venía comentando que en cada avistamiento que hacemos nos vemos sorprendidos por nuevas visitas; si bien esta ¨especie¨: de aves nos visita bastante seguido, no son de las más fáciles para poder filmarlas, y mucho menos hacerles algunas tomas fotográficas; como saben, son aves realmente muy veloces a la hora de volar. Siempre es un gran placer poder verlas en las ramas de los árboles que tenemos en nuestro fondo.

I was telling you that on each sighting we make we are surprised by new visitors; although this speciesof birds visits us quite often, they are not among the easiest to film, much less photograph; as you know, they are really fast birds when they fly. It is always a great pleasure to see them in the branches of the trees we have in our background.

Estos últimos días han sido bastante ventosos, y creo que es la razón de que este pequeño ejemplar permaneciera un rato quieto, posado en las ramas del árbol de mora, lo que nos permitió que pudiéramos hacer este video corto, pero no permaneció tanto tiempo allí, porque solo pudimos hacer una sola fotografía en ese lugar. Por suerte, no ha volado muy lejos y pudimos hacer un par de tomas más.
