Co-Hosts Nick Snapp and Marcus Plating get deep into this topic because of all the questions and comments they get from atheists about the problem of evil and why, to secular humanists, God doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.

It's driven by social-media surveillance marketing and our ever-increasing culture of being easily offended, that's taking hold of our country.

Does the Bible really mean what it says, or is something else going on? Does "kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child" literally mean to kill them, or does it mean something else? How can one reconcile the literal interpretation of the Word of God with a conceptual interpretation? Is this a dangerous practice?

We had an excellent dialog among very different world views, even highlighting significant differences between followers of Jesus. We talk about all these things and more between an atheist and three Christians.

Robert (Bob) O'Connell, is an award winning playwright and the author of Flash Mob, Cruise Mob, Campus Mob, The Day I Dressed Better Than My Wife and The Death of Comedy. Bob is a regular contributor to The Triangle Review. He has had dozens of plays performed throughout the world. He is an educator and humorist, and most closely relates to the atheist worldview.

Bob lives with his wife here in Cary, NC. He wanted to be on the podcast because he says that good people have much more in common than not, and he would like to focus on those commonalities to promote positivity rather than argue or tear down.

Representing the Christian worldview today is Aaron Chappell. Aaron grew up in Apex, NC, and attended a Southern Baptist Church. At one point he aspired to become a pastor, and he double majored in Business Management and Religious Studies at North Carolina State University. He's always loved history, so the academic study of Christianity has been something he really gravitated towards. Aaron wanted to be on the podcast to dialogue with people about religion. He says it's important that people be able to share varying points of view and respect each other, while not necessarily agreeing.

Today you get to hear more from our friend, Pastor Perry Maison. Perry talked recently with atheist Boris Ekner on our last event, answering tough questions about God and whether He is really good. Perry is a Kingdom Strategist, and co-pastor of Shekinah Glory International in Durham, North Carolina. Perry says he's doing what he was born to do, and that's to connect people with his Father, to love Jesus passionately, and to fellowship with his best friend, Mighty Holy Spirit.

On our last interview with Perry, we wanted to talk more about supernatural things with him and Boris, but the conversation went in another direction and we ran out of time...so we're bringing Perry back to tell us all about what it's like, and what it means to see in the Spirit.

She is the author of The Hell Conspiracy and Encountering Heaven, Laurie has had multiple visions of Heaven, and she's had a horrifying eye-witness account of Hell. In this conversation we take it back to what the Bible calls, "The Fear of the LORD." It's a confusing topic that many people have questions about. The guy's nose grew back? That's just crazy talk...or is it?

Most of us would like to believe God will make someone's limb grow back, but it's so far outside anything we've ever imagined that it's unbelievable. We don't even want to think about something so outrageous. It's particularly hard to stomach if you don't believe God exists at all. Then what do you do? You start talking about salamanders and rationalizing the gap in your world view.

Well prepare yourselves for this one Miracles & Atheists Community (MAC)! Our guests Nicole and Gavin Welch have some miracles stories for your listening pleasure. You'll recognize Gavin from our intro theme, and we thought you would appreciate some details. Dude, his nose grew back? That's insane!

Nicole (Nic) Welch is an intense but fun life strategist, consultant, podcaster, author and public speaker. She's also a world traveler, therapist, wife, and mom. Her expertise is in the psychology of identity, communication, and leadership. She has major superpowers in creating powerful people by connecting quickly, influencing deeply and achieving more in every encounter. She wanted to be part of our program to bridge the gap between atheists and Christians all over the world

Nic joins us with her husband, Gavin Welch. Gavin spent over 20 years as the founder and president of a non-profit organization primarily working in Honduras, Central America. Gavin and Nicole witnessed several miracles and God change the lives of hundreds of people during his time there.

We decided not to invite any atheists on with Nicole and Gavin this time so we could dive deeper into their miracle stories without answering questions about salamanders and the scientific method (not that there's anything wrong with that). We'll make it up to you next time MAC!

When someone posts a thought-provoking question on social media that's NOT actually riddled with superficiality, the responses can be all over the board. Some get uncomfortable and all you get is crickets, others get nasty, and then maybe, just maybe a bit of wisdom shines though.

If you listen to Miracles & Atheists, you already know we don't like baseless rhetoric, regardless of where it comes from: Christian or atheist. So when I go through comments on a post that says, "Biggest beef with Christianity...go 👇" I typically weed through A LOT of scoffing and mockery, almost always from atheists. Yet, we did find a gem, one that really deserves more attention and a deeper dive. Our guest, Jeruss Harrison's comments were well thought through, articulate, and thought-provoking. Here's his response:

San Francisco native, Jerrus Harrison's comments really stood out us. Jerrus is a secular humanist, digital & social marketing consultant and music producer. He's spearheaded digital and social strategies for companies across a number of industries, he's a certified personal trainer, an actor, model and live event host. I loved this conversation with Jerrus, we enjoyed hearing his heart and unpacking some of his criticisms of the Christian faith, most of which had to do with what he describes as a lack of EVIDENCE for God, and a lack of evidence for modern-day miracles.
