What a wild election we're having, right? Doesn't even seem like we're close to resolution. So are all the prophets wrong? Well, right or wrong, whatever ends up happening in January 2021 will send shockwaves throughout the country.
Our guest today, Doc Kennedy has spent a ton of time researching prophecy about our nation, and about President Trump. Doc is a proud American and patriot. He's a stand-up comedian out of Nashville, TN and winner of the 2019 Lea Ciastko Spirit of Comedy Award. A history buff (studying from accurate sources) Doc Kennedy's had the honor of slinging jokes from stage on the Huckabee network show and sharing the truth about our great nation.
It's striking just how many Christian prophets have made claims with CONFIDENCE about Decision 2020. There are people who made predictions about Trump's Presidency in the early 1980s!
So what are they saying?
Listen for a jarring episode with interesting predictions about politics and the state of our great nation. We're all waiting for resolution and trying to stay calm. Some are celebrating, others are worrying. Yet, there's a small group of confident Christians who are watching, praying, and waiting for righteousness to prevail and wickedness to be exposed.
We shall see...
Miracles & Atheists on Social Media:
Does God have anything to say about the 2020 Election? Does God reveal secrets to modern-day prophets about the state of a nation? Has God revealed anything to a retired paramedic who prays for people for miraculous healings?
Will there be insurrection following Decision 2020?
So many questions…
We turn today to Dave Hayes, "The Praying Medic," for answers, and to popular Youtube atheist, Eric D. Murphy for more questions.
We could not have had two people on The Miracles & Atheists Podcast with more drastically opposing positions as we had on this episode, with Dave Hayes and Eric D. Murphy.
Supernatural Healing
Our listeners would have missed out, had we not kicked off our conversation with The Praying Medic by asking him about his experiences with supernatural healing, which really set the tone for the show. Dave's experiences were met with significant skepticism from Eric D. Murphy. Nonetheless, it was a lively, yet productive discussion, where The Miracles & Atheists Community (#theMAC) will experience a truly thought-provoking discourse from both sides of the argument.
Decision 2020
The discussion then led into the State of our Nation (the USA), the major issues we're dealing with in the final weeks before Decision 2020 (including the "defund the police" movement and Breonna Taylor) and whether God has revealed anything about the Election to our guest, Dave Hayes.

It was a good question posed by our atheist guest, Eric Wells, that at the time, none of us had an answer for. How would you answer? Is faith in Jesus any different from faith that a Muslim martyr will have 72 virgins in the afterlife? All tough questions to wrestle with that we unpack on with Part 2 of 2 of our deep dive conversation with Eric Wells and Christian podcaster, Dave Jackson.
It's the second lookback on one of my favorite episodes, #4 from the Miracles & Atheists Livestream on Facebook 2+ years ago. Back in those days Nick used to stream for 4-hours straight, an intense, but well-worth-it experience. We covered a myriad of topics in our deep dive, all stemming from a mysterious BULLET that somehow ended up NOT killing, or even touching for that matter, our friend Dave Jackson. The conversation brought up so many interesting issues that Marcus and I thought it'd be prudent to unpack the conversation. We dove SO DEEP that we had to split our dive up into two parts.
Buckle your seatbelts for some really solid nuggets on evolution vs. creationism, faith vs. gullibility, and the motivation of the 9/11 terrorists vs. that of a born-again Christian.
If you haven't listened to Part 1, "DID GOD STOP A BULLET," you can listen to Part 2 now if you want to, but we HIGHLY recommend going back and enjoying episode 008 before you do...

Does God defy natural physics? It depends on a multitude of factors I suppose...but regardless, we have a story for you today that'll get your supernatural guns a-blazing!
When a young man and his girlfriend are held up at gunpoint and the gun fires, it's up to you to decide whether God intervened.
It's a first on Miracles & Atheists…we've gone back into the ARCHIVES of the good ole' M&A Livestream that I used to host on Facebook a few years back. I've personally selected one of my FAVORITE conversations from the stream with Dave Jackson and Eric Wells. You'll hear not only about the bullet, but about science, evolution, faith, gullibility and 72 virgins!
You can catch the original, unedited version of this conversation if you click here and fast-forward to about 2 hrs 30 mins.
Our first guest representing the atheist position is Genealogist Eric Wells. Eric has created and built businesses and nonprofits for the last 20 years and is the Director of the Springfield Skeptics, serving Atheists, Agnostics, and Non-Believers in the Ozarks. Eric is very skilled in his craft, he's very much into science and we can tell he puts a high-level of diligence into the things he's passionate about.
Next is Christian podcaster, Dave Jackson. Dave is the host of the world-famous School of Podcasting show that he's been doing for over 15 years. He's an ex-teacher, a good reason why he's so good at teaching folks about podcasting. Dave has made his passion his vocation, working for Libsyn, the host platform of the one and only Miracles & Atheists podcast.
In addition to defying physics, we talk about philosophy, evolution, faith, gullibility, an much much more.

All of our nation's controversial topics mashed up into one miraculous conversation!
We're giving you a smorgasbord of hot buttons and trigger moments, but we wouldn't have it any other way. When we learned there were rioters in Portland burning Bibles, Nick asked the question, "why?" on social media.
The answers may surprise you, so we decided to do a podcast on it. We had all intentions of staying focused on Bible burning, but then found ourselves talking about Covid, the Black Lives Matter organization, and even child sex trafficking. The conversation was intense, but we wouldn't have it any other way. If you can't talk about tough things, why talk at all?
One of the people who answered Nick's Bible-burning question on social media, quite intelligently, was Ayries Blanc. Ayries is a founder of DYM Media, a creative agency based in Ireland and Los Angeles. She holds degrees in Psychology and Environmental Science. With "back to the land" parents, her mystical and magical training started young. She was raised in a hippy commune that encouraged her to explore who she was without the usual societal 'shoulds.' She has been a practitioner of Tibetan, Zen Buddhism and Hatha yoga for over 12 years. Ayries says she explores the divine to more deeply understand human biology and purpose. She particularly loves folk, Norse, Greek, and indigenous mythology as well as mystic studies within Islam, Judaism, AND Christianity.
We also invited Vanessa Irvin to be our special guest, who knows a thing or two about supernatural conversations. Vanessa Irvin grew up in rural NC, the daughter of a sharecropper in a large family of 13 siblings. She completed her undergrad at St Augustine's, a Historically Black College in Raleigh and went to graduate school for Statistics at Ohio State (until life got in the way…)
Vanessa is a semi-retired Montessori teacher who loves Math, Chemistry and most of all, Jesus. Marcus remembers the first time he had a serious conversation with Vanessa, she told him, "I used to be black, now I'm a Christian."

So an Atheist, a Muslim, and a pair of Christians walk into a....
(you'll have to listen for the punchline)
Regardless, in this day and age, having meaningful conversations in a respectful way is not only necessary but I'd go so far as to say, it's mandatory. That is, if the overall objective is the well being of society.
Our discussion with Atheist Eric D. Murphy and Muslim Ahmad Siddiqui opened our eyes at how important it is to slow down when handling hot topics. There's not much slowing down these days, and we're doing ourselves a disservice as a result. Yet, there is still a growing number of people who are hungry to learn, seeking truth and passionate about productive conversations.
Our goal is to set the bar high, and exemplify an open attitude as we facilitate uncomfortable conversations and unpack tension. Hopefully this episode showcases this school of thought at the highest level as we discuss objective truth, belief, society's shortcomings and even a bit of politics.

Now THAT's what I call an Atheist...and a Christian...and a Skeptic...and whatever other term can be taken out of context!
The more I learn about apologetics and debate, the more I learn just how important it is to define the terms we use when having conversations. People make assumptions about what different "labels" mean to them or to others, and before we got too far into the podcast, Marcus and I thought it would be important to put out a shorter, bonus episode with the sole purpose of defining as many terms that we plan on using on The Miracles & Atheists Podcast as possible.
Nevertheless, just having a show reading our definitions would be incredibly boring, so we decided to make it a FAMILY affair! Marcus brought on his two daughters, Zoey and Abigail, while I invited my oldest son, Carter to read our definitions and give us their take on these terms. It ended up being a lot of fun recording with our mutual families. After all, Jesus said "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven," (Matthew 18:3).
So why not try to understand the minds of our own?
