Story Transcript:
Cy: Ar ddiwrnod oer o aeaf, roedd Gareth a Cerys yn cerdded o amgylch Castell Caerdydd.
En: On a cold winter's day, Gareth and Cerys were walking around Cardiff Castle.
Cy: Roedd y twrâu cerrig a'r waliau hanesyddol wedi'u claddu â haen denau o rew sy'n disgleirio o dan haul wan y prynhawn.
En: The stone towers and historic walls were buried under a thin layer of ice that shimmered under the weak afternoon sun.
Cy: Roedd y castell yn brysur gyda thwristiaid, pob un yn edrych ymlaen at wrandaw ar hanesion cymhellol.
En: The castle was busy with tourists, each one looking forward to listening to compelling stories.
Cy: Wrth iddyn nhw gerdded trwy'r giât fawr, clywodd Gareth lais uchel yn cyhoeddi dechrau taith o amgylch y castell.
En: As they walked through the large gate, Gareth heard a loud voice announcing the start of a tour around the castle.
Cy: Doedd ganddo ef na Cerys ddim cynlluniau clir ar gyfer y diwrnod, felly penderfynon nhw ymuno â'r criw i weld beth oedd yn digwydd.
En: Neither he nor Cerys had clear plans for the day, so they decided to join the group to see what was happening.
Cy: "Felly, dyma ni yn ystafell baned yr Arglwydd Snooty," dechreuodd Gareth yn sydyn, gan addasu ei lais i swnio'n bwysicach na'r tywysydd go iawn.
En: "So, here we are in Lord Snooty's tea room," Gareth suddenly started, adjusting his voice to sound more important than the actual guide.
Cy: Cerys rwytrodd wrthi i gyfeirio sylw'r twristiaid at Gareth, gan gamu ochr yn ochr ag ef.
En: Cerys joined in to divert the tourists' attention to Gareth, stepping alongside him.
Cy: "Ymadawodd y Frenhines Elizabeth yma," ychwanegodd Cerys, ei llygad yn tynnu winc at Gareth, gwybod nad oedd y datganiad yn gywir, ond pysgota am ychwanegiadau mwy gwallgof.
En: "Queen Elizabeth departed from here," added Cerys, casting a wink at Gareth, knowing the statement wasn't true but fishing for even more outrageous additions.
Cy: Gydag ail reddf, a gyda'r twristiaid yn gwrando'n astud, aeth Gareth ymlaen.
En: With quick instincts, and with the tourists listening intently, Gareth continued.
Cy: "Ie, ac wrth gwrs, roedd Gandalf arfer a bod yn was i'r castell. Roedd yn gweithio gyda'r gour.Sheep Ista," cyhoeddodd, ei wyneb yn llawn o gampwri.
En: "Yes, and of course, Gandalf used to be a servant of the castle. He worked with the gour.Sheep Ista," he proclaimed, his face full of mischief.
Cy: Roedd y twristiaid yn edrych ar ei gilydd, yn pendroni am y gwirionedd.
En: The tourists looked at each other, wondering about the truth.
Cy: Ond roedd eu diciau yn awgrymu eu bod nhw'n mwynhau'r stori.
En: But their smiles suggested they were enjoying the story.
Cy: Un twristiaidd a gododd ei law.
En: One tourist raised his hand.
Cy: "Beth am y clwb tenis tanddaearol?" gofynnodd.
En: "What about the underground tennis club?" he asked.
Cy: "Mae'n wir!" atebodd Gareth heb flincio.
En: "It's true!" answered Gareth without blinking.
Cy: "Mae'n un o'r clwbiau tenis mwyaf enwog yn Ewrop. Fe'i sefydlwyd gan y Tuduriaid i gadw'n gynnes yn ystod y gaeaf. Ac maen nhw'n dal i drefnu cystadlaethau rheolaidd."
En: "It is one of the most famous tennis clubs in Europe. It was established by the Tudors to stay warm during the winter. And they still organize regular tournaments."
Cy: Yn fuan, roedd y tywysydd go iawn yn ymddangos, ei wyneb yn dywyll a'i lais yn ddig.
En: Soon, the real tour guide appeared, his face dark and his voice angry.
Cy: "Dyma gwrs anniben o hanes! Mae'n wallgof rhith-weledol!" meddai, ond roedd Gareth a Cerys yn rhy bell i gael eu hatal.
En: "This is a chaotic course of history! It's virtual madness!" he said, but Gareth and Cerys were too far to be stopped.
Cy: Wrth gyrraedd y diwedd o'r daith, aeth un o'r twristiaid i chwerthin, methu aros rhag y rhwystr o ddigrifwch.
En: Upon reaching the end of the tour, one of the tourists burst into laughter, unable to hold back the wave of humor.
Cy: "Mae hynny byth yn digwydd ar deithiau arferol," meddai gyda chyfrinach gynnes o lawenydd.
En: "That never happens on regular tours," he said with a warm hint of joy.
Cy: Roedd y gynulleidfa yn ysgwyd dwylo Gareth a Cerys, a chawsant eu clodiodd am eu stori ffug.
En: The audience shook hands with Gareth and Cerys, lauding them for their fictional tale.
Cy: Wrth adael y castell, roedd y tywysydd yn crynu ei ben, ond ddim ond allan o lanzynod.
En: As they left the castle, the tour guide shook his head, but only in disbelief.
Cy: "Da chi," meddai. "Ond peidiwch â gwneud o eto, os gwelwch yn dda."
En: "Well done," he said. "But don't do it again, please."
Cy: Roedd Gareth yn falch, wedi dysgu bod hwyl yn gallu dod o chwarae gyda ffaith, a Cerys wedi sylweddoli y gall hyd yn oed gweithgareddau trefnus gynnwys anturiaethau annisgwyl.
En: Gareth was pleased, having learned that fun can come from playing with facts, and Cerys realized that even organized activities could include unexpected adventures.
Cy: Roedd y ddau ohonynt yn gadael Castell Caerdydd yn llawen a bodlon.
En: Both of them left Cardiff Castle feeling happy and content.
