Influencers are everywhere

Influence is defined as having the capacity to have an effect on the character, behavior, or development of someone.

Your attitude

Who Are Your Influencers?

Identify them

Parent, sibling, coworker, mentors, TV, music

How close are they to you

How much stake do you put in what they say?

Do you question them?

Unbiased

What type of thinker are you?

Do you believe what you hear?

Very prevalent with religion

Do you question or research?

How much trust do you put into your instincts or guts?

Intuition is very powerful when you use it, mainly because it comes from life experiences.

Why go against things life has taught you?

I usually have problems when I don’t follow my gut.

Impact of influencers on the you and others

Blind Trust

Never question or even ask how something happened.

Actually may be shunned upon if you question things.

Independent thinking

Are you comfortable with being different?

You know how to explain your point

You want other to explain theirs for clarity.

You are ok with other thinking differently.

Group think

Everyone stuck on the same page.

How to reduce the influence of others

Know your own thoughts and feelings. … (Be A Man or Woman) Open your damn mouth for yourself

Say NO

It stops so much bs

Don't excuse or justify. …(They are old, They earned the right, They raised me, They are in Charge)

Choose your peers wisely…

People can unconsciously influence you just by being associated or around them all the time.

Call them out

Sometimes you just have to make some people aware that their opinion is theirs, and you don’t have to go along with it just because they feel that way.

Be fine with who you are. Learn to embrace your individuality and thinking.

Devise a way be accountable (Checklist, calendar, Google alert, etc)

Understand that you might not get support from others, so don’t look for it or expect it

Execute

Roll out your plan

Look for accountability partners

Take on each task one step at a time.

Day by day, week by week, month by month

Evaluate

Have things changed

WHy not?

WHat can you do better?

Be honest with yourself.
