Get a credit card and your child listed as an authorized user. Use it sparingly and pay it off to establish credit for them.

Get your child listed on a secured loan with you. Get the loan, pay it off after like for payments.

This establishes installment credit on your child's credit report, and most importantly alleviates the need in most cases of your child needing a cosigner.

Making bad decisions in my youth, that cost me opportunities academically as a senior.

Choosing not to go to graduate school til after 10 years after I got my bachelors to start my business and help my son.

Reasons Why You Miss Opportunities

Wasting Time

Don’t put something off for tomorrow, that you can do today. Tomorrow isn’t promised to you.

Facebook and Instagram eats hours out of your life on a daily basis.

Mixing with the wrong people

Two much noise drowns out positive thoughts

Know that people aren’t obligated to see your vision, so you can’t expect them to always cheerlead you.

Hell I’ve been guilty of it

We sometimes have so much we want to do or thinking about doing, and forget and miss opportunities right in our face.

Remember, we see what we seek

Not taking risks

You’ll always get the same results in life, if you are always doing the same things.

Opportunities don’t come all the time, and most of the time they come associated with some type of risk.

Fear

The ultimate inhibitor in life.

We’ve all felt it, and we all must decide how much of it we will let it overcome behavior.

Ways To Avoid Missing Your Turn

Open your damn mouth

Why should anyone pay attention to someone that won’t speak for themself.

You’ll keep getting cut in line and passed over.

Take ownership, even when it technically isn’t yours

You truly have to believe that opportunity is yours.

Claim it, but just with your words, but with your actions.

Believe in yourself, when no one else does

You belief and confidence will project out to others.

Opportunities will gravitate to you because of the belief you have in yourself and your abilities

Stay ready

You’ll always be ready if you stay ready.

They worst thing that can happen, is that when an opportunity comes, you aren’t prepared.

You are solely responsible for your well being and future, don’t empower others with control over your destiny.

Never let age or circumstances deter you from taking a chance.

Circumstances and situations never change unless you make them. Time goes on, with or without you making a move.

Who wants to grow old with regret? Look in an older person's eyes when they talk about what they wish they had done. Do you want that damn look?
