Eric and Sam discuss chapter 1, "An Invitation to Go There," with Chad David (Loyalty).
Reflection questions considered in this episode:
You have probably seen a map in a stairwell or shopping mall that says, “You are here.” Consider the circumstances of your life today. Where are you? What is “Here” for you? What does it look like? Are you happy with “Here”? Or are you in a place that you need to leave?
“You’ve done the first thing — make a decision to leave Here and go There. From this point you just need to prepare as best you know how and move in that direction.” If you have determined that you need to take a difficult journey of your own, to leave Here and go There, do not fall victim to “analysis paralysis.” Don’t overthink it. If you have experienced some small moment of clarity, leverage whatever motivation, willpower and scant preparation available and act upon it. Every epic journey starts with putting one foot in front of another. What does the first step look like for you?
