This hour includes songs about letting go of a relationship, social anxiety, slowing down, finding happiness wherever you are, the profundity and mundanity of life, heartbreak, a willow tree and a rock, and a Soviet dog in space. The artists come from Narrm/Melbourne, the Bellarine Peninsula, Geelong, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Canada and Nashville. Here is the playlist:

On the coldest morning in the seven-year history of Miss Chatelaine, Katie presents a killer array of songs that warm her and her listeners up. They include moving tracks by Aotearoa’s Georgia Lines, Western Australia’s Emily Barker, and gay US artist Wrabel with the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles. There’s also a seasonal pop favourite by The Twoks, a tune from the new album by the legendary Crowded House, and more. Here is the playlist:

Katie is a bit croaky this morning as she is recovering from a cold, but she warms herself and the listeners up with a bunch of songs about moving on, the peace of sleep, losing a loved one, what could have been, being overwhelmed by feelings, the need to win at all costs, love for a brother, and more. Here is the playlist:

The great new music keeps on coming in the second hour of today’s show. Katie plays songs not only by past guests Anna Scionti, Dan Warner (with The Night Parrots), Josienne Clarke and Joy Oladokun, but also by several artists unfamiliar to her until now – and there’s a classic tune by Tony Bennett and patron saint of the show k.d. lang, too.
