On the evening of October 17, 1982, Clayton Mark Bussiere left the Abbotsford taxi depot to presumably go home for the evening.
However, his Taxi was spotted hours later with a passenger inside.
Clayton and his taxi have not been seen since. This 40-year-old mystery continues to perplex his family and Law Enforcement to this day.
At the time of his disappearance, Clayton is described as a 25-year-old white man, six-foot-one and 175 pounds with dark-brown hair, brown eyes, a mustache, and a scar on his forehead.
He was wearing a grey cardigan with elbow patches, a black digital watch, and a necklace with a pendant of Saint Christopher – the patron saint of travel. He was also wearing navy blue corduroy pants.
The four-door 1978 Pontiac Grand Le Mans had a British Columbia license plate number 1931-JB. It also has a Washington State plate on the front end, with the number 1030. The cab has “Abbottsford Taxi” and the number “6” painted on the rear roof panel. The interior of the car is dark blue velour.
