This Memorial Day weekend we're excited to welcome back guest speaker, Scott Ridout! In today's message, Scott is helping us evaluate our spiritual health so that we can stay healthy in an unhealthy world. We'll talk about three arenas that we control where we must make wise choices to stay healthy, and ask three questions to help us monitor that health.

This weekend Craig wrapped up our current message series. So far, we've covered the Trinity, the separation of sin, and the gift of Jesus as a way back to relationship with God, and how the gospel is personal. This weekend, we learned how we can trust that the Bible is reliable.

As moms, we’re surrounded by messages like “You’ve got this” and “You can do it all if you just [fill in the blank].” For many of us, this translates into trying to be everything for everyone around us, which leaves us feeling defeated and flat out exhausted. But what if motherhood wasn’t designed for that? What if you can’t do it all, and that’s actually the point? In this special Mother’s Day service we’ll learn it is in the surrender of our weaknesses that we can experience the joy and freedom that God provides.

So far, we've covered the Trinity, the separation of sin, and the gift of Jesus as a way back to relationship with God. This week, things get personal. Craig shares that God doesn’t just love the world, generically, He loves each of us individually. The Gospel is personal and it's a difference of believing facts and believing in, or having faith, in Jesus.

Over the last two weeks, we have talked about the Trinity and how devastating our sin is to God. This weekend, we are excited to share the Good News that God makes a way for us! We have to get both our heads and our hearts right for God, and we need to turn toward Jesus to leave our sins behind.

God hates sin because He loves us! When you sin, it creates a barrier between you and God. Not only that, but the message from sinning is that God is dead to you. When you turn from sin, God is faithful and welcomes us back to restore the relationship. Is sin keeping you from experiencing grace?

Christianity is simple, but it can be easy to forget that in the face of a bewildering variety of doctrines, denominations, and differences. All doctrines matter, but some matter more than others…and only a few matter most. 

Between the peace of the Garden of Eden and the promise of the Garden of the Redeemed, we live with the pain of our separation from God. And yet, even here, in the midst of your disappointments, your hurts and your sorrows, the resurrection of Jesus can give you abundant life between the gardens.

God doesn't need perfect people, but what happens when we have elements in our lives that go unchecked? When everyone but you knows it's a problem? It's easy to see something, become enamored with it and let it lead us to sinning. Thankfully, as we see in today's message, Jesus' power is at it's greatest when we acknowledge that WE are too weak to handle the mess we've gotten into.

Trusting in the wrong thing is a recipe for trouble. As we continue through the story of Samson in Judges 16, today we're talking about making sure your trust is in the right place.
