Today’s podcast is a serious one but something that is SO important to be talked about in society. We feel as we stand for women’s rights and we want to help fight against inequality in society, it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t address current catastrophic events. We hope that this podcast maybe opens your eyes (if they aren’t already) to women’s position in society and the experiences of women.
TW: we discuss current news and sensitive topics in regards to the tragic death of Sarah Everard and other violence towards women in society. We are no experts and we acknowledge that men also face struggles and fall victim to crime. We feel it is important to discuss these issues and our experiences of society as women and we understand that everyone has different views.
We hope that you gain something from this pod, and maybe we can all work together (men and women) to challenge gender inequality.
DISCLAIMER - we are aware that males also face tragic incidents and in the near future we want to also do a podcast covering male victimisation. Today’s podcast is solely focused on women’s victimisation, in the near future we will have a pod focusing solely on males, their experiences and the devastating events that also happen to men.

We feel it is important to address this in society (especially due to lockdown and easing of restrictions), and the pressures women feel to conform. However, maybe we should all ‘let go’ of this pressure and aim to be the happiest version of ourselves. We hope in this short 30 minutes we have opened up the question of who are the victims? Are we victims of our own mind as we put immense pressure on ourselves to conform to unrealistic standards of body image? Or are we happy to do so? We hope to explore this further over the coming episodes, whilst admitting to ourselves that we too conform to these norms. We hope we are relatable and maybe we, as women, share similar daily worries, falling victim to societal pressures of being accepted.
