A brief mission update from PMc on-field director in Italy. Included in this an update on the ministry as we kick off this next season of ministry in Italy to the glory of God. In addition, we talk about some answers to prayer and ways you can join us in prayer.

"Few come to Christ. Of the few that come, many come with personal interests/intentions. Others come thinking they can offer something to Jesus as if this were possible. Still, others come to a Jesus created in their own minds, an idol of their own making who is not the biblical actual Jesus. Few come to the real Jesus for their real need, that is to be forgiven and saved."

A sermon from PMc on-field director in Italy while preaching for New Life Church of Vicenza, Italy. This church is made up predominantly of US soldiers/families stationed in Italy.  In this sermon, we dive into 2 Timothy 4:1-6 and the larger picture of Jesus edifying, or building up, His church through individuals.

Big idea: Jesus is building His church, and He does it by saving individuals and building them up to fulfill their ministry.

In this episode we begin a new series where we teach some lessons on evangelism taken from our evangelism encounters in Italy.

Mr. Thou Art is the name give to the man we were evangelizing in order that we can better remember the experience and pray for him specifically.

Some things he said include:

"I'm the best artist in the world."
"Europe doesn't know what good art is."
"My name goes back 700 years, but I cannot tell you what it is; it's a secret."
"F*&% America. F&%* Europe."

Two lessons:
1. There are signs that help you understand when one is likely possessed of evil spirits. Knowing the signs helps.

2. Do you best, by His grace, when you evangelize, but always remember that salvation belongs to the Lord and He knows those who are His; God alone predestines, calls, justifies and glorifies. Romans 8:29-30, 2 Timothy 2:19

A brief mission update from PMc on-field director in Italy. Included in this episode is an exhortation from 2 Timothy 2:1-2 regarding the need to be strengthened in the grace of God. In addition, we talk about a missionary that recently finished her race and went to be with the Lord, some photos, an update regarding our involvement for a church plant north of Udine. We mention some ways we would like you to pray with us.

"Jesus is building His church. He does it through individuals that make up the church. Paul was in prison, but built up (edified) by Christ. As a result, Paul wrote to encourage and build up Timothy who was becoming weary in the complexities of church planting ministry. Now God's word comes to us as well to strengthen our hearts as we live for Him in this world."

A brief mission update from PMc on-field director in Italy. Included in this episode is an exhortation quote from William Booth regarding ministry preparation. In addition, we talk about some photos, share some brief updates regarding some church plants, and share new prayer requests.

"Most Christians would like to send their recruits to Bible college for 5 years. I would like to send them to hell for 5 minutes. That would do more than anything else to prepare them for a lifetime of compassionate ministry." - William Booth

A brief mission update from PMc on-field director who just returned to Italy with his family. Included in this episode is an exhortation J.C. Ryle on "the necessity of repentance". In addition, we share some brief updates regarding a church plant in need of prayer and our missionaries readjusting to Italian life and ministry. We also share new prayer requests.

"I beseech you by the mercies of God, to lay to heart the things which I have just been saying, and to ponder them well. You live in a world of cheating, imposition, and deception. Let no man deceive you about the necessity of repentance. Oh, that professing Christians would see, and know, and feel, more than they do—the necessity, the absolute necessity, of true repentance towards God! There are many things which are not needful. Riches are not needful. Health is not needful. Fine clothes are not needful. Noble friends are not needful. The favor of the world is not needful. Gifts and learning are not needful. Millions have reached heaven without these things. Thousands are reaching heaven every year without them. But no one ever reached heaven without "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." - J.C. Ryle

A brief mission update from PMc on-field director who just returned to Italy with his family. Included in this episode is an exhortation from Hebrews 10 on "stirring one another up to love and good deeds". In addition, we share some brief updates with prayer requests. We thank the Lord that many people have learned about the need for the Gospel in Italy, many have been challenged to broaden their view of the Lord's global mission, and many people and churches are considering to get personally involved with PMc.

"Too often in our relationships, even within the Christian community, we can find ourselves forgetting the importance of stirring one another up to love and good works. The problem is that each of us is continually facing trials as we live in a fallen world, with a sinful flesh and an Enemy. Thinking intentionally as to how to stir one another up can often be ignored."
