The Bible says that anyone who doesn't stumble in their words is perfect. We all struggle with saying things we shouldn't, and it can feel impossible to control our tongues. So how can we learn to speak life instead?

Proverbs 14:29 teaches us about the difference between those who choose patience over anger. In this sermon, we will see where anger comes from and how we can battle it in our lives.

Proverbs 3:5-6 may be the most well-known passage in the book of Proverbs - and for good reason. It gives us instructions on what it means to trust the Lord with our lives. These verses give us a truth that is a proven roadmap for life.

In order to understand the book of Proverbs, you must understand what Solomon teaches in chapter 1 verse 7. Here, we see not only the foundation for this book, but the foundation for godly wisdom and knowledge in it's entirety.

The church in Laodicea was described as "lukewarm" by Jesus. As hard as it is to admit, we may be much more like them than we would want to admit. And yet, Jesus offers immeasurable love and unthinkable grace.

The church in Philadelphia knew hardship and weakness. But what caused them to be one of only two churches that Jesus does not rebuke is their faithfulness in weakness - their willingness to boast in their weaknesses.

Jesus arrives at Sardis and finds a church that is slumbering so deeply that He describes them as "dead." He instructs them to wake up, repent, and turn back to the Gospel. This church unfortunately parallels many modern churches and Christians. How do we avoid their mistakes?

If Ephesus was a church with discernment but no love, then Thyatira was the exact opposite - they had love and faith but no holiness, and Jesus calls them out for that. He also speaks to the faithful remnant who were holding fast.
