Mitä Pelataan? episodes
- Paragons of Change 8. - Patrick KellyThe year 2020 has been a year coloured by change. Changes in many ways have touched many people's lives. Paragons of Change is a series of interviews with people from boardgaming sphere whom I’ve noticed going through changes in recent times. We talk about change and what they have changed in their lives. By default we do not claim we state facts, we only talk from our own points of view and our opinions. As the discussion might take a negative note, we try finish with a positive – by giving you a Top9 list of games. The topic of the list has been chosen by the guest and we will have a “battle of the lists” after the episode airs in my social media channels – you, dear listener, are encouraged to comment and vote on the lists to see which one of us did better. The eighth Paragon in the series is one of my main idols in boardgame podcasting, the master of monologues, and the babbleus emeritus of my possibly favourite podcast, Blue Peg Pink Peg - Patrick Kelly! He had enjoyed talking so much that we recorded the longest episode of this series thus far, and we did it 1.5 times! Listen to Patrick talk about leaving the podcast and changing jobs among the hundred other things he talks about. I also say something in between, but not much of interest - until our Top9-list of Brainburrrrning Games. For once the topic of the list is fully in my wheelhouse and we both bring to you very very solid lists on this topic in my opinion!! Disclaimer: Patrick was not paid, he speaks the true as he says. Or his opinion at least!! Correction: Arkwright the Card Game was Kickstarted by Game Brewer, not by Grand Gamers Guild, I got them mixed up a bit in a certain part. Still waiting Richard Simpson to send me his copy though ;).To apologize for my mistake, here's a link to the KS - check it out! (you can still lage pledge): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gamebrewer/arkwright-the-card-gameComments are welcome, hope you enjoy this bit and will be back for rest of the series. Voting for our Top9's will commence some time after this episode drops.Top9 starts at about 1:15:45 and the topic this time is Top9 Brainburrrning Games.Thank you for listening! You can find boardgame related Patrick in BGG here: https://boardgamegeek.com/user/pablopkAnd Blue Peg, Pink Peg can be found here: https://bluepegpinkpeg.com/The music used in this Series is Nightwalker by @Sentientpulse , Thank you!https://soundcloud.com/sentientpulse/nightwalker-sentient-pulse-1Follow Mitä Pelataan? in media!https://linktr.ee/mitapelataanhttps://mitapelataan.wordpress.comhttps://twitter.com/MitaPelataanhttps://www.instagram.com/mitapelataan/https://www.facebook.com/mitapelata/https://soundcloud.com/mitapelataan/https://open.spotify.com/show/5OdHNkrztkRRtvSgf3GXtyhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/mitä-pelataan/id1390280287https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA8rysZ3Jkxq7-R7cA7xrjwEmail: mitapelataanATgmail dot com2 hr 26 min
- Paragons of Change 7. - Gaby Moraga(Apologies for a longer delay, work/life took over editing.)The year 2020 has been a year coloured by change. The seventh Paragon in the series is Gaby Moraga, one of the two main Snobs in boardgaming besides Jerry. We talk about carnivores and herbivores while he lists more beans than there are in Bohnanza. We also try to tackle some myths about Texas and almost mistakenly summon Dan Hughes. Gaby goes deep in his thinking going through some aspects of his life and a "surprise" visit for Jerry lightens the mood. Do NOT listen hungry, I became very hungry when recording and when editing. If you do, it's on you!The Top 9 topic this time is Top 9 Games Improved With Music/sound. There are some very good tips if you're into this kind of stuff! Gaby seems to really be into music or ambience while playing, while it seems I'm really not...Comments are welcome, hope you enjoy this bit and will be back for rest of the series. Voting for our Top9's will commence some time after this episode drops.Top9 starts at about 1:21:00Greetings to Jerry at the end.Thank you for listening! You can find Gaby and Boardgame Snobs from social media @boardgamesnobs and their podcast is here:https://boardgamesnobs.podbean.com/The music used in this Series is Nightwalker by @Sentientpulse , Thank you!https://soundcloud.com/sentientpulse/nightwalker-sentient-pulse-1Follow Mitä Pelataan? in media!https://linktr.ee/mitapelataanhttps://mitapelataan.wordpress.comhttps://twitter.com/MitaPelataanhttps://www.instagram.com/mitapelataan/https://www.facebook.com/mitapelata/https://soundcloud.com/mitapelataan/https://open.spotify.com/show/5OdHNkrztkRRtvSgf3GXtyhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/mitä-pelataan/id1390280287https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA8rysZ3Jkxq7-R7cA7xrjwEmail: mitapelataanATgmail dot com2 hr 18 min
