MK Podquest

Round 2 of Scorpion's Revenge is here! It's the half of the movie where Scorpion gets bamboozled into getting fake revenge, but then bamboozles the bamboozlers and gets real revenge. Corey didn't remember the movie so he mostly talks about Cricket. Due to scheduling issues we're doing something different next week, but it will be good, whatever it is. Until then:

It's time for ROUND 2 of MK Podquest vs. Mortal Podkast! We're overwriting Ben Mekler's precious childhood memories with a rundown of episodes 7-11 of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, and we also talk about Beanie Babies for like 10 minutes. This week on the podcast we discuss the rather obscure webseries/stock trading game Mortal Kombat: Federation of Martial Arts, the final chapter in the Threshold Entertainment Mortal Kombat timeline, and Neal finds DEFINITIVE PROOF that Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm is in continuity with the rest of the movies and shows, and he won't shut up about it.

MK: FoMA is a truly insane piece of media that needs to be seen by everybody so click this link to head over to Mortal Kombat Online's page of archived content and watch their playlist of all 54 MK: FoMA videos: https://www.mortalkombatonline.com/c/media/foma

Next week we're dropping part 2 of our krossover episodes with Mortal Podkast so stay tuned for that! Until then:

It's MK Podquest's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY and we are celebrating by finally being finished with Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm! Honestly episode 13, Overthrown, was a pretty good episode of the series. Princess Kitana and the gang are attempting to overthrow Shao Kahn once and for all to free Edenia from outworld, and they've got a bird man friend helping out so that's pretty tight. The animation has gotten a major upgrade, which it turns out goes a long way to making this series watchable, but honestly we're still glad it's over.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everybody who has listened, guested, or sent in voice messages over the past year!

• Brandon, Jason Deline, Jeff Hersheway, Damion Damaske, and Ben Mekler for joining us as guests!
• Dominic for your musical contributions
• Jade Dickinson for our killer Twitter banner art
• Paul, Dave, Danny and Dakota, and Yasin Josh and Jae from Kombat Time for sending in voice messages and      generally being rad
• Sarah Garvin for lending your voice to our intros

It's the penultimate episode of Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm and, much like Jax in this episode, we are worn down from the constant struggle. Ermac is in this one, and so is Ruby, who is like sexy lady Ermac or something. Also there's some classic Corey F1 talk for all you race fans out there, so start your engines!

We'll be back next week to talk about the FINAL EPISODE OF MORTAL KOMBAT DEFENDERS OF THE REALM but until then:

• Go listen to the Kombat Time podcast with Neal on it! (And also listen to their other episodes!)

This week we're going to the subway tunnels under the theater to hang out with Damion Damaske and talk about Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm episode 11, the one with KABAL and everybody's favorite Mortal Kombat character Hideyoshi! It was a fine episode, we guess. Kabal was pretty cool and Kano and the Boys are back. I don't know, it's late and I'm tired.

We'll be back next week to talk about the penultimate episode of MK Defenders of the Realm! Until then:

We are a MORTAL KOMBAT podcast again, and we're talking Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm episode 10 - Swords of Ilkan, AKA the one that Neal insists has Kreeyans in it. Kitana finally gets to do something in the series, and she's brought Sonya along while most of the boys punch a portal with their fists. It was pretty good.

We've reached the end of ORB MONTH and the Warrior King's journey this week with Wing Commander Academy Episode 8: Recreation, easily the best episode of the crossover hands down. Neal is now fully a Wing Commander guy. Also we messed around with a soundboard on this one so expect a ton of airhorns. We're going back to being a Mortal Kombat podcast next week, but until then:

THE ORB has found it's way into SHANG TSUNG'S HANDS! Orb month kontinues as we discuss part 3 of the Warrior King Crossover, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm Episode 9 - Resurrection, which it turns out is a pretty good episode of DotR that barely features the Warrior King at all. Also we talk about Chicago-style hot dogs and birthdays. We'll be a Wing Commander podcast next week when we wrap up the saga of the Warrior King. Until then:
