MK Podquest

We've arrived at the final episode of Mortal Kombat: Conquest and holy moly, there's a lot to say. Spoiler alert: It's a real bummer of an episode because everybody f*cking dies, but the REAL tragedy is that we never got a season two.

We'll be back next week to share some listener messages, give our overall thoughts about MK Conquest, and try to find some closure before we move on to the next chapter of Mortal Kombat, and a whole new group of heroes. Until then -

In Episode 20 of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Vorpax gets a promotion, Reiko smooches a sword, Siro commits regicide, and everybody's favorite Mortal Kombat character Kiri turns out to be a real wallflower, and Siro and Taja continue to be defined exclusively by their very specific chosen weapons, as usual. This episode rules.

On Episode 17 of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, we get the good good Shang Tsung backstory when his old master (who totally isn't Bo' Rai Cho) returns to make him old and get everybody sick. Also, everybody's favorite Mortal Kombat character, Omegis, is here too because she's Shang Tsung's ex-girlfriend.

On Episode 16 of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, the show clumsily attempts to tackle gender roles AND imperialism when Kreeya and her tribe of warrior women enter Earthrealm and attempt to ally with Kung Lao and co. against Shao Kahn, but the only thing we're really excited about is PRINCESS VORPAX, BAYBEE!
