It’s Wednesday, Major League Soccer returns on Thursday. The World Cup is almost over.The winds of change are upon us here at Morning Kickaround.

On Monday, we asked what MLS could do to better capitalize on American World Cup Fever. They have since answered that question with what they are calling “the largest coordinated  marketing campaign in league history.” What does that mean and will it have the intended effects? Could they have launched this a bit late in the game?

To that end, we also catch up on the headlines surrounding the USA’s top domestic league. It’s been two months since we have given this league any thought.
