This report evaluates whether the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services Missing and Murdered Unit fulfilled its founding mission. This report is based on the Inspector General's findings dated September of 2026. This report gives families of MMIW and MMIP a practical path for seeking Federal Assistance, victim services documentation and accountability.
