Happy November, Twisted Listeners! In honor of this month's biggest holiday, we're covering a very important, serious, and horrible topic: missing and murdered Indigenous women.
These stories are myriad - there are entire podcasts dedicated to them, and with good reason! Indigenous women are 10 times more likely to be murdered than any other group, and murder is the 3rd leading cause of death for Indigenous women. Over 50% of Indigenous women suffer sexual abuse in their lifetimes, and this is just what's reported. So these stories are very important, as is taking action. Please consider researching these cases, and finding ways to help in your community.
