The World Series is over, and the 2024 Major League Baseball season is officially behind us. David, Dan and Hoges reflect on the season that was for the Minnesota Twins, who started slow, picked up the winning pace ... and then slowed to a crawl toward the finish line. They recap the Twins-related news of the last month and they also go over the predictions they made back in March at the dawn of what looked like a promising season. Then, with the lens wide enough to examine the whole season, they consider the choices of Rocco Baldelli, the biggest moments of the season, the grade the Twins deserve and then a few of the big questions heading into 2025. The Pohlad family have announced their intention to sell the Minnesota Twins, the team has a new streaming deal in place for 2025, and the front office makes some coaching changes to the Twins staff. With so much happening in Twins Territory the boys couldn't stay away. David, Dan, and Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson discuss all of the big news coming from Target Field. David wants an owner who's willing to bankrupt themselves to win a World Series, while Dan and Hoges take a more reasonable approach. The guys discuss the history of the Pohlad family and the terrible interviews and statements made over the course of the last two seasons leading up to this decision. David can't hide his love for Peter Alonso as he talks about the Mets advancing to the NLCS, while Dan tries his best to keep his love for Aaron Judge in check. The Minnesota Twins were swept by the Baltimore Orioles at Target Field, and were officially eliminated from the playoffs. David and Dan recap the miserable series and dive into all the breaking news regarding Rocco Baldelli retaining his position as manager, and Derek Falvey also staying on board in the front office. The boys discuss the Twins removing a fan from the stadium who held up signs criticizing ownership, and talk through some of the quotes from Correa and others about the disappointing end to the season. Dan wants to know how the Twins will replace Kepler in right field, while David takes issue with the position held by some that the Twins weren't that good to begin with so ownership not spending money was the right move last offseason and at the trade deadline. It's another disappointing series loss from the Minnesota Twins, who dropped two of three at home to the 100-loss Miami Marlins. David and Dan mourn the nearly certain end of any playoff hopes this team has, now that its path to the postseason is as narrow as it gets. David praises the play of Carlos Correa, and Dan hypes the Byron Buxton train (or is it a truck?), but they have plenty of questions for the rest of the roster after such a crucial series went awry. Still, they struggle to see exactly what Rocco Baldelli could have done differently to steer this ship better even a month ago. They have plenty to say about the final game in Oakland for the Athletics franchise, and they look a bit around the league as it heads into the final weekend of the regular season. The Minnesota Twins lose 2 of 3 to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson fills in for Dan Thompson and tries his best to bring David back from the brink of leaving baseball for cricket. The boys discuss the dreadful performance of the Twins offense in the entirety of the series, and the surprising performance of the bullpen in game 1. David is upset that Rocco isn't upset enough with the way the team is performing, and Hoges thinks Falvey and Levine don't deserve the free pass that David and Dan offered last episode. The boys give their predictions for the Twins postseason chances and while David is unconvinced, Hoges tries to play both sides of the issue. The Minnesota Twins' descent reached another bottom this week when they fell into a tie with the Detroit Tigers for the final wild card spot in the American League. This time the Twins lost three of four to the rival Cleveland Guardians, whom David is still certain aren't actually very good despite their success against the Twins. So, with nine games remaining, the Twins need to at least remain tied with the Tigers to make the playoffs, unless the Royals, who are still within both teams' reach, continue their own struggles. David and Dan agree that the blame should fall at the feet of ownership and not at those of the manager, Rocco Baldelli, who has done the best with what he's got. They lament the lack of movement at the trade deadline and the injury to Joe Ryan earlier this summer. But David tries to remain positive, because maybe, just maybe, this could still be Minnesota's year. Thanks for listening, and go Twins!

The Minnesota Twins lose 2 of 3 to the visiting Cincinnati Reds at Target Field. Correa, Buxton, and Lewis were all on the field together for the first time since July 2nd, but the Twins couldn't manage a victory to celebrate. David wants to know if Correa is anywhere near 100% healthy, while Dan wants to know when the front office decided that 2025 was a more realistic year for the Twins to make a run in the postseason. David is furious at Rocco Baldelli and Jorge Alcala for combining forces to lose game 1, and Dan feels that Brooks Lee is getting unwarranted hate online from Twins Twitter. The Minnesota Twins go to Tampa and leave with a split against the Rays and maintain their lead in the wild-card standings, which has David and Dan looking ahead a bit at the playoffs. With that comes many questions: Will Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa be back? Would the Twins rather play the Astros or the Yankees? But more currently, David and Dan agree that the Twins didn't look great against the Rays defensively, though they disagree over the performance of Louie Varland in Game 3. David wonders whether Christian Vazquez needs to go back to Grand Slam or Triple Play, while Dan discusses the value of Eddy Julien to this team the rest of the year.
