"It's been a really quiet period in terms of physical engagement with music, I hope this will make your neck distorted."

Hi everyone, I am YASS also known as YVSS ( or call me whatever, you're not gonna pronounce it correctly 🙂 ), I am a DJ currently based in London, I like trapping hard while I am eating pizza and drinking sodas, lockdown drove me a bit uncomfy but I kept it up with the music, my neighbours are desperate, but I don't care.

"This mix features sounds that are close to my heart with UK drill, garage, and funky-house influences. I wanted to focus on music that originated from black people to create a feel-good mix that features some of my favourite up and coming artists."

Self proclaimed wavy lass, East London’s Edith Escobar is solidifying her reputation as a DJ through her eclectic blends of Grime, Garage, and R&B. Her genre defying style takes inspiration from the UK’s soundclash culture and the early Garage scene fused with R&B. Her musical style can only be defined as a melting pot, so expect plenty of multi-genre fusions and bangers!

"For this mix, I have done nothing but enclose all the sounds that have

influenced me and that continue to influence me. Youʼll find a mix of hip hop, trap, drill, Lo-fi and Future Beats tracks and some of my unreleased edits. Hope yʼall like it, enjoy."

Born in Naples, Italy in 1996, Seeb aka Matteo Sibillo is a young DJ of the Neapolitan and Italian Hip Hop scene. From childhood he approached underground culture, hip hop culture and its shades. Growing up however, he discovered a passion for electronic sounds,

Future Beats, Lo-fi stuff etc … In fact, he starts from those genres to play in the clubs of his city. In 2016 he joined the hip hop collective and party organisation Hellheaven11, which in a very short time revolutionised the concept of club in the Neapolitan and National scene.

During these years, he toured Italy and shared the stage with numerous artists of his country and played at various In-store Event sponsored by brands and entities like: All Gone, Nike, AW Lab, Urban Jungle and many more.

"Driven by the love for old school sounds and the curiosity to discover new music, I digged into different genres and cultures in search of the mix that represents me musically. A journey through Hip Hop blended with the freshest hits, R&B, Dancehall and Afrobeat, with the aim of describing my quarantine mood and my desire to return to the clubs."

Fobys (real name Alessio Moricca) is based in Sicily and, alongside YhtD and Cipo, one of the residents at Aitho Entertainment's parties, where he shared the stage with Jarreau Vandal and Skinny Macho. He grew up listening to music and producing beats inspired by J-Dilla, The Alchemist and Just Blaze. He started to play vinyls during high school, becoming one of the best DJs in Sicily in his genre and a great selector of Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Baile and Funk music in the last few years. Fobys has also a monthly resident show on Mondonero Radio in Milan.

"I’m of the opinion that every mix I make has its own story, because the selections are not made randomly. I’ve heard many artists give advice on how to create mixes based on where you need to play them, if you are in a club or on a radio. Gain experience is important, but these are things that annoy me because it always seems that there’s someone who has to dictate the rules when, instead, my thought is that everyone can play what they want and when they want, with the awareness of being able to accept diversity, which also applies to listeners. I mean, I’ve started booking myself with radios and stuff like that on the internet because I just want to share my feelings and thoughts throught music selections and this could help me to travel and meet a lot of new people, ‘cause I don’t want my life to be only here in Naples / Italy where people are absolutely closed minded (or they apparently act like open minded).
So that’s why you will find Future Beats (with R&B/Trap influences) + Baile Funk vibes in this mix. However, we have a lot of time to change things and work on ourselves also because of this pandemic situation, enjoy the bass sound experience as I would enjoy it."

Luca Capaldo (RDSBD) is an independent DJ / music selector born and based in Naples.
He defines himself as a music lover since childhood, thanks to his older brother Vincenzo who has always put him in contact with different forms of art. His feelings with music started with Rap / Hip-Hop from the early 2000’s accompained by his basketball passion, and a lot of Rock music with Indie/Alternative influences.
When he met SANS in 2013 he was introduced to the SoundCloud world and FutureBeats, Baile-Funk productions and everything related to that world (which are now his main influences). This changed his point of view on music tastes.
In 2017 he joined the Neapolitan collective SUEDE, starting to write articles and musical reviews, moving later on the mixing and the art of DJing (following the same passion of his brother).
After deciding to publish his mixes on SoundCloud and trying to create connections with artist from all over the world, he made his first appearance with a Guest-Mix on Night Swim Radio (now based in Portugal) and later on NAS RADIO SHOW (Brazil), FutureSound (Bordeaux), 0106.FM (Los Angeles), Source Radio (Paris), Dylerz (Paris), CHRYSALISM RADIO (South Africa) and Early Bird Radio (Maryland).
