If you are on the planet you had to hear about Lady Gaga's dognapping and finally, we examine whether the 2022 Winter Olympics should be boycotted because it is based in China.  

This week we celebrate the successful landing of the Perseverance Rover on Mars.  Rebecca shares how not to get your snowed-in driveway cleared in the Ukraine.  Bill Gates has big ideas for synthetic beef and Ann isn't buying.  A United Airlines flight, bound for Hawaii, makes an emergency landing after losing an engine and folks on the ground got an unexpected debris delivery.  And finally we welcome new listeners all the way from France!

Join Ann and Rebecca as they discuss the conspiracy group Q-Anon. We have a new podcast name!  After some intensive research and work (drive through lunch from McDonald's) we decided to change the name of the podcast to Moderately Prepared.  Why change the name?  We're embracing the fact that we're always moderately prepared, so why not change the name?  Our podcast theme isn't changing.  We are committed to being your weekly alternative to the noise and distractions of life and the news cycle.  We believe in the first amendment and stand in opposition to censorship, and we approach this through our irreverent, funny and crazy life lens.  In this podcast, the first of the year, we tackle New Year's resolutions, 2021 predictions, random news from around the world.  We also learn about Rebecca's fondness for chocolate at breakfast time and the post-holiday re-entry.
