This week Rebecca digs into the mailbag and reads comments from our viewers. (We love viewer mail). We also talk about award shows and Rebecca's distaste for such shenanigans. If you are on the planet you had to hear about Lady Gaga's dognapping and finally, we examine whether the 2022 Winter Olympics should be boycotted because it is based in China.  

This week we celebrate the successful landing of the Perseverance Rover on Mars.  Rebecca shares how not to get your snowed-in driveway cleared in the Ukraine.  Bill Gates has big ideas for synthetic beef and Ann isn't buying.  A United Airlines flight, bound for Hawaii, makes an emergency landing after losing an engine and folks on the ground got an unexpected debris delivery.  And finally we welcome new listeners all the way from France!

Join Ann and Rebecca as they discuss the conspiracy group Q-Anon. Then laugh with us as we relive the moment when the vaunted Lombardi Trophy went flying this past week, right from #12's hands, across the water into the hands of a Tampa Bay Buc player.  And we loved it!  Could it have been a disaster, of course, but it wasn't!   We send Happy Valentine's Day wishes out to one and all and spend a little time talking about fringe groups, and only slightly get on our high horses about doing your news homework.  The start of the Lenten season is right around the corner - tell us what, if anything, you're doing for Lent.  And let us know how YOU feel about Tom Brady tossing the Lombardi Trophy.  And feel free to admit it, it was kind of awesome.

Hey everyone, we are back after a short vacation. We were working on audio improvements so hopefully, this podcast comes in loud and clear. This week Rebecca and Ann talk discuss how Chucky the homicidal doll is missing in Texas, the 13 top movie franchises in terms of big money, and last week's games leading to the Superbowl. Join us. We have a new podcast name!  After some intensive research and work (drive through lunch from McDonald's) we decided to change the name of the podcast to Moderately Prepared.  Why change the name?  We're embracing the fact that we're always moderately prepared, so why not change the name?  Our podcast theme isn't changing.  We are committed to being your weekly alternative to the noise and distractions of life and the news cycle.  We believe in the first amendment and stand in opposition to censorship, and we approach this through our irreverent, funny and crazy life lens.  In this podcast, the first of the year, we tackle New Year's resolutions, 2021 predictions, random news from around the world.  We also learn about Rebecca's fondness for chocolate at breakfast time and the post-holiday re-entry.   

Welcome to episode 2 of Moderately Prepared!  Our podcast is our irreverent and comedic (we hope!) take on life, and the people, stories and events we find interesting, and fun.  We're your weekly break from the other stuff - politics, COVID, taxes...  In episode 2 we take a semi in-depth look at the headlines you might not have read or heard this week.  We tackle everything from an out of control washing machine, new Guinness World Book records, a 57 pound catfish and all kinds of interesting topics.  Rebecca has to amend her NFL playoff picks, and we give a shout out to the good folks of Pittsburgh.
