Sometimes we get stuck on things that make us angry, sad, anxious, worried, etc. which progresses negativity throughout our day. Richard Carlson talks about this concept of a "time warp". Whenever you are having this feeling about any given situation, ask yourself "will this situation matter a year from now?" Most of the time it probably won't, because they are little points in life that are just temporary. In the moment, it may seem like something that will take over your day but don't let it.
