Welcome to the final episode of the Modern Perspectives podcast series. What a journey it’s been. So many inspirational speakers and optimism for what’s to come in the industry. This episode tackles managing change, and summarises the series with two very special guests:
Michael Bernard – Ex-CMO director of IBM in Europe and is currently Non-Exec director, Trustee, School Govenor, Consultant and author. Michael holds a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and has over 25 years of line management experience.
We’re also joined by Stephen Davis - EMEA Marketing Director at Roland DG EMEA. Stephen is an executive leader with a track record of business success in travel, retail, consumer and commercial products. He has extensive experience leading and shaping teams to deliver marketing innovations and sales solutions at all stages of the business lifecycle.
He's s worked on a number of high-profile consumer businesses, including Tui, Southcorp Wines, Hovis, Expedia & American Airlines. Breathing new life into very established brands, as well as launching a high-growth, early stage start-up at Kiwi.com, has been a central focus. This sits alongside steering international teams through financial restructuring of the world’s largest airline, plus several M&A initiatives. And a more recent move into the B2B space allows him to apply proven techniques from the B2C world, in addition to his general management responsibilities.
Previous episodes have tackled relationships with customers, changing business models, and the role of digital and data in transformation. But at the end of the day, the human factor is the biggest element of any business. Without a culture that fosters resilience in teams, the picture is only half complete.
In this episode we’ll be exploring the importance of building resilient teams, and how to maintain culture that supports them.
Victoria Humphries: polar adventurer, three times Guinness World Record holder, mountain climber, marathon runner, author, businesswoman and just a ‘normal’ person. She prides herself on being just your average woman who happens to believe that Anything is Possible if you put your mind to it. Victoria is also a popular motivational speaker for businesses with over 20 years’ experience.
We’re also joined by Tracey Countryman: Senior Managing Director Global Industry X Manufacturing and Operations Lead at Accenture. Tracey has been with Accenture for 23 years has primarily focused on operational improvement strategies enabled by digital solutions across the full asset lifecycle from early stage FEED to build, commission, handover and operate and maintain. She is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and now resides in London, UK.
Did you know that the average organisation has on average 120 different tools in their organisation? The key here is to integrate the tech to connect the journey across digital from intent to CRM to prospecting tools to marketing tools. If you get that right, you will accelerate revenue outcomes.
Previous episodes in the series have explored digital transformation, customer centricity and emerging business models. And none of these can happen without the right data to guide decision makers. With more data about customer's digital behaviours than ever before, how do we best make sense – and use – of it. What investments into digital and data should be on the minds of resilient businesses?
Today, we’re joined by: Jon Clarke – CPO and Founder of Cyance, a Buying Intent SaaS Technology Company. Jon has over 27 years’ experience in sales, B2B marketing and business strategy and has worked with some of the largest and most innovative tech companies in the world. We also have Joe Leverson – Head of Digital Marketing at Gamma. Joe drives the digital marketing strategy across the group, both UK direct, indirect and Europe.
In episode three, we’re looking at how businesses are evolving their business models, and the new and different ways in which organisations are transforming the way they create, sell and service.
Our two guests today are both podcasting veterans; Andrew Grill, is the founder of Actionable Futurist and former IBM Managing Partner. With over 30 years of experience in large corporates such as IBM, British Aerospace and Telstra. Andrew is a highly experienced authority on a wide range of technology trends and the digital world. Andrew is also a seasoned TEDx speaker and provides workshops and strategic advice at board level.
We’re also joined by Brandee Sanders, VP of Marketing at Motive Retail. Brandee is an Award-Winning Marketing Technologist, VP, and Digital expert. Customer experience should be at the heart of any transformation. It’s about being there for your customer when they need you. In this episode we hear from two inspiring marketers: Nick Dillon, Digital Innovation Manager at EDF and Carrie Seifer, GM for North America at Amdocs about the meaning of true customer experience.
Join us for an energising conversation with marketing legends: Joel Harrison, Editor-in-chief at B2B Marketing and Matthew Roberts, Head of Marketing for North America at Amdocs.
