There are teachings in the prophetic movement that modern prophecy can be fallible and that false prophets are recognized by impure motives rather than false prophecies. There are prophecies given by those claiming to be prophets while telling the church the word can be received or dismissed while claiming an extraordinary unverified encounter with God. Practices akin to the occult and New Age and language foreign to the gospel and absent of the gospel are being presented to people in the name of calling it prophecy. I believe these practices are an assault on sola Scriptura.
