Over the past few years, there has been a mounting exposure of leaders within areas of the Charismatic movement, specifically those associated with the New Apostolic Reformation. Numerous allegations have now come out regarding the prophetic conduct of Jeremiah Johnson. These allegations center upon Jeremiah taking the dreams, visions, and prophetic words of others and passing them off as his own. But these allegations are not new developments, and they appear to follow a pattern that has persisted for years. Is this simply plagiarism, or is there a more serious issue at hand? Shofars have been noted throughout the Scriptures, particularly in the Old Testament. They have served in specific purposes both in war and in praising God. These instruments are used frequently in corporate gatherings in the Charismatic movement and especially in the New Apostolic Reformation. Some believe that blowing a shofar expels demons, and many have used them in alleged prophetic acts, with the belief that angels are released and that the atmosphere is altered because of the blast from this ram's horn. But is this a Biblical use?
