The Lovesick Scribe Podcast

The rise of women in church leadership has been promulgated in many areas of the church. This is prominently noted in the NAR as women are commissioned to the roles of apostles, prophets, and pastors. Those who would attempt to refute women holding positions of authority in the church according to Scripture are met with disdain and hostility. What does the Bible have to say on this matter?

Join me as we review a sermon from Natalie Breckenridge, a professing prophetess and pastor, and we consider Scripture's authority on the matter of women pastors.

Over the past few years, there has been a mounting exposure of leaders within areas of the Charismatic movement, specifically those associated with the New Apostolic Reformation. In the midst of this, some individuals are claiming to hear from the Lord on the matter. One of those is Alexander Pagani, and he is stating that a spirit of Phineas is rising up to purify the body of Christ. Pagani states that those who have exposure channels are said to operate in this spirit.

Join me as we review this latest video in light of Scripture.

Numerous allegations have now come out regarding the prophetic conduct of Jeremiah Johnson. These allegations center upon Jeremiah taking the dreams, visions, and prophetic words of others and passing them off as his own. But these allegations are not new developments, and they appear to follow a pattern that has persisted for years. Is this simply plagiarism, or is there a more serious issue at hand? Additionally, another issue has loomed regarding the rebranding of Jeremiah's ministry post 2020 election.

Join me as we consider these issues, and we consider the meaning of Jeremiah 23:30 and how this relates to current concerns within the modern prophetic movement.

Shofars have been noted throughout the Scriptures, particularly in the Old Testament. They have served in specific purposes both in war and in praising God. These instruments are used frequently in corporate gatherings in the Charismatic movement and especially in the New Apostolic Reformation. Some believe that blowing a shofar expels demons, and many have used them in alleged prophetic acts, with the belief that angels are released and that the atmosphere is altered because of the blast from this ram's horn. But is this a Biblical use?

Join me as we consider the use of shofars in light of Scripture and if Christians today must be using shofars.

One of the things that modern deliverance practitionersfocus on is the practice of witchcraft. From occult practices tomisappropriated Scripture about witchcraft, this teaching is prevalent amongthis movement. With that, many of these leaders will teach about discerningChristian witches or fellow church goers engaging in occult and witchcraftpractices. Some leaders will create teachings concerning patterns to look forin those who are operating in witchcraft.

Join me as we examine a recent teaching by Vlad Savchuk, andwe consider his teaching in light of Scripture used.
