Hello everyone, welcome to the first episode of my podcast! I'm really excited to share my story with you today, and explore the relationship between television and mindfulness.
For a long time, I used to watch TV mindlessly, without really thinking about what I was doing. It was a way to escape from the stresses of everyday life - a way to switch off and relax. But over time, I began to notice how my TV habits were affecting my mood, energy levels, and overall well-being.
I realized that watching TV mindlessly was actually making me feel more anxious and disconnected from the world around me. It was a wake-up call that prompted me to start exploring mindfulness practices, such as meditation and yoga.
As I started to become more mindful in my daily life, I also started to pay closer attention to the TV shows I was watching. I began to notice how certain shows were affecting me emotionally and mentally, and how they could either support or hinder my mindfulness practice.
I found that certain TV shows, such as documentaries and dramas, actually helped me to become more self-aware and reflective. They gave me new perspectives on the world and inspired me to engage in deeper self-exploration.
Now, I use TV as a tool for mindfulness, rather than as a distraction. I set intentions before watching a show, take breaks to check in with myself, and use TV as a way to learn about different perspectives and experiences.
I hope that by sharing my story, and my experiences I can inspire you to think more deeply about your own relationship mindfulness. Remember, TV doesn't have to be a mindless activity - it can be a way to connect with yourself and the world around you.
This series Modernly mindful will help you to detach from the mindlessness and become more aware through a variety of new skills and interviews.
Thank you for tuning in.
