  • S1 Ep27: The one where when you start winning your inner game you make big stuff happen in your life – with corporate high flyer and network marketing professional Helen Crespo
In this episode, I talk to one of my incredible members of my Mojo Community which is full of inspirational women who are believing in themselves more and so are achieving all the things they so deserve.

I’m with Helen Crespo and she shares how when she started to win her inner game, she started to make big stuff happen in her life.

By day Helen is a London based Real Estate Project manager for a leading global company and all of the rest of the time she’s a proud Network Marketing professional.

We discuss how she went from lacking confidence and not believing in herself to making big stuff happen – promotion after promotion, growing a business – earning more and achieving more.  She puts this down to mastering her inner game and a number of other things which she’ll be sharing with us on the show. Her progress has been insane!

She says 2020 was a life changing year for many and for Helen she made drastic changes by putting herself first,  investing in herself and taking a leap of faith.

She dreams big and achieves big but what she’s learnt over the last year has helped her achieve even bigger and faster than she could have imagined and her mission is now to help others build their confidence, embark on the most exciting journey of personal growth and help them generate a recurring residual income in the process!

  • S1 Ep26: The one with family lawyer, barrister and body builder Katie McCann. Practical advice and guidance to navigate challenging and emotional family situations. Plus, how she keeps her mojo cup brimming coping with a rare medical condition.
In this episode I talk to Katie McCann a family lawyer and barrister because as we’ve been navigating through this pandemic, it’s been affecting many of our core relationships.

And the  Charity Citizen’s Advice has been reporting spikes in searches for online advice on ending a relationship plus many law firms have been reporting over a 100% increase in enquiries over the last 6-10 months.  There's also been a similar pattern around the world – particularly in countries where there’s been some of the strictest lockdowns such as China.

Katie is founder of family law firm Lowry Legal. She specialises in helping separating couples on their journey from separation to the next phase of their lives.  She believes in treating her clients as whole people and understands that their divorce is only one phase in their lives. Helping clients emerge on the other side as stronger people is Katie’s mission.  And she is turning the perception of the legal profession on its head because she believes that the legal profession can be stuffy and lawyers unapproachable.

This is certainly not the case with Katie.

So on this episode of mojo matters we explore family matters particularly in light of the impact that the pandemic has been having and get some practical guidance from Katie on what to do if you’re in a challenging and emotional family situation right now.

And also Katie is massive inspiration in other ways too because Katie has a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which affects her muscles, joints and ligaments.

She promised herself long ago that she would not let this beat her and sought to build up her strength as much as she could with resistance training!  This turned into a love of the body building sport, and she is currently on course to competing in her first bikini show in 2022.

We talk about the strategies Katie has for living with this condition.

  • S1 Ep25: The one with author of Top Biller, Steve Guest on how to maximise your performance whilst being true to yourself
We're talking maximising your potential by being true to yourself without burning yourself out particularly if you work in a highly pressurised environment or role.

We'll be taking lessons  Steve Guest, Author of 'Top Biller - The life of a recruiter.'

Steve is someone who has been extremely successful in an industry which is notoriously tough -  the recruitment industry – an industry in which it’s extremely competitive and in which it’s generally been accepted that you need to be robust and really persistent.  It’s an industry where you need excellent communication skills, be really target driven, be good at multi-tasking, have lots of confidence, have strong sales skills.

And not everyone cuts it. It’s so easy to really lose your mojo and burn out in the process when you’re working in highly pressured environments.

Steve had spent 14 years recruiting top talent in the construction and property industry working for large global recognised recruitment brands as well as growing smaller recruitment businesses.

He's a high performer and achiever always pushing boundaries, inspiring change, innovation and growth. But Steve will say he doesn’t fit the typical mould of a recruiter in his industry.

  • S1 Ep24: The one with Carla Collins whose rocky start in life and physical disability left her feeling unsure of herself but how positive affirmations lead to self-acceptance, self love and ultimately greater joy in life
In this episode we talk affirmations. Affirmations are those things that people take the mickey out of don’t they? Stand in front of the mirror. Chest pumped. Roar! I’m a tiger!  So do they really work? According to my amazing guest Carla Collins, they do. They’ve been such a powerful mojo fuelling tool that she now has a brilliant business Love up Love you which produces the most amazing scented affirmation candles – I say this with 100% certainty because I have Carla’s wonderful affirmation candles and as someone who has an obsession with candles, I can honestly say they’re the best I’ve ever bought.  Now Carla says she was inspired to create the business following her own journey of self-discovery which has taken her from Bondi Beach to London. And along the way she has discovered how positive affirmations lead to self-acceptance, self love and ultimately greater joy in life.  Because Carla says she got off to a bit of a rocky start in life and that family dynamics meant that home for her as a child didn’t feel like a particularly safe or nurturing place to be. She was also born with a physical disability that made her an easy target for bullies and she felt different, unsure of herself and not worthy of her place in the world.

A great episode to harness the power of affirmations and change your life.

  • S1 Ep23: The one where Ambition versus Enthusiasm helps you live and play the game of life for health, wealth and happiness
In this episode I talk to business coach Adam Kawalec about the difference between ambition versus enthusiasm.

And how realising the difference between the two was a turning point for Adam, transforming him, he says, from being an overweight, overworked and overstressed people pleasing overachiever into a present, self-empowered happy person with healthy habits and relationships.   Adam had successful corporate career but an epiphany moment was the catalyst for a life switch for him.

He shares what happened, the challenges he overcame and the tools and techniques he's used to help him create a new and happy healthy life and business

  • S1 Ep22: The one with Emma Deaker and how journaling helps her run multiple businesses and ensures a healthy, happy and productive life
I’m joined by Emma Deaker and we talk about the  power of journaling for a clearer, happier and more productive life. Now, some people (and I include myself in this some time back), may think – well journaling what’s all that about? That’s a bit soft and fluffy isn’t it? But it’s no coincidence that this mojo fuelling tool has so much power that it can’t be a coincidence that Emma runs several successful businesses including in the property sector.  And journaling has been something that has enabled Emma to transition from the corporate to business owner world.  She says she’s always been a fan of a list and throughout her life has loved writing stuff down. Even writing things on her to do list that she’d already done just so she could cross it off… Now Em thinks that may sound crazy but actually there’s some really good evidence from the world of neuroscience and neurobiology of the power of ticking stuff off your list as means of sustaining your motivation and getting a shot of the reward chemical dopamine.  So back to Emma and her journaling, she says when she went from employed to self-employed she felt lost with no routine or structure and journaled her way out of it and it was a game changer.  Little did she know that was November 2019 and covid and lockdown was around the corner with people working from home and experiencing huge routine changes.  And so she felt she had an obligation to print her journal and share it with others to help them.   And it’s been helping so many people since.

  • S1 Ep21: The one with Michael Cloonan and how his gift of ADHD has enabled him to succeed as an entrepreneur
The one with Michael Cloonan and how his gift of ADHD has enabled his success as an entrepreneur.

Michael’s been an entrepreneur since the age of 16. He also has ADHD but this is only something he’s recently had the diagnosis for.   For years, he didn’t understand how he could be so intense about his ventures yet at the same time get equally distracted, depressed and lost in his own thoughts. He says it was like swinging on a pendulum.  The same force that was taking him up in life was also pulling him straight back down. Unaware of what was going on he just carried on until he had a break down and pretty much lost everything.  But he began to learn more about ADHD and now coaches those who are easily distracted.  On this episode Michael shares his story about how he discovered he has ADHD, the challenges but also the gifts it brings.

We talk about how are brains are wired differently.  And he shares some techniques for those who may be easily distracted.

  • S1 Ep20: The one with Lisa Wimberger - how being struck by lightning on her 15th birthday profoundly shaped her life
The one with Lisa Wimberger and how being struck by lightning on her 15th birthday profoundly shaped her life.  Because for the years to follow she experienced seizures that would 'take her out'.

Her heart would stop, her brain would shut off and she would experience cyanosis (when you turn blue).

Lisa says her body was in effect 'playing dead.'

She was told there was nothing that could be done about her seizures and her flatlining. But she was given a name for this and a cause - stress.

Not accepting nothing could be done, and saying that she'd grown up rising to overcome anyone who told her she couldn't do something, she dedicated herself to researching neuroscience and the practice of self-directed neuroplasticity.  And she combined this with her meditation practice.

This led her to create the truly unique practice of Neurosculpting®
which she used to heal herself.  She's never had a seizure since.

It's now a practice that has been helping so many people -  from those in law enforcement through to leaders in organisations - to release the grip of stress, trauma and negative thought patterns. And is helping others to create the beliefs and stories which inspire us to achieve what we want and deserve in our daily lives.

This episode is timed for the launch of Neurosculpting® in the UK, as I become the UK's first certified Neurosculpting® facilitator to help people through and recover from the stress of the pandemic.  And to enable you to live a mojo filled life with greater health, wealth and happiness.

In this episode Lisa shares her remarkable story, the neuroscience,  how Neurosculpting® works and how it can be applied to help you navigate daily life with less stress, overwhelm and with more confidence.

Cody shares her story and the set backs and challenges she's faced together with the opportunities she has created both personally and with her business.
