Earlier this year, jockey Luke Currie had one of the biggest rides of his career. He was to ride the hot favourite in the $1.5 Million Blue Diamond stakes, but in 11th hour before the big day, Currie was to suffer serious injuries in a race fall. He joins hosts Seb and Mitch, to talk about the devastating effect of these injuries, and how he dealt with the disappointment of missing out on such a big opportunity.

We hear from Geoff Dyke, Secretary for the CFMEU Mining and Energy Division's Victorian branch, to get an insider's perspective on the industry, including how workers from the decommissioned Hazelwood Power Station are still making the transition. The CFMEU is one of Australia’s largest unions and represents the miners and energy workers in coal.

That moment changed the course of his life. He is currently working on a documentary that spreads awareness about cochlear implants. Sheetal also speaks with audiologists Matthew Grounds from Expression Australia, and Shou Farn Chung about the social isolation associated with hearing loss.
