Private detectives Crane and O’Malley are drawn into a baffling case when an unidentified woman’s body disappears from the morgue. After the morgue attendant is found dead, the pair must pursue a thin trail of clues while facing suspicion themselves. The cast includes Ken Lynch and Mandel Kramer.

Adapted from Cornell Woolrich’s short story “Leg Man,” written under his William Irish pseudonym, the drama begins with the murder of Big Mike behind his tavern bar. With two abandoned drinking glasses seemingly offering police an easy answer, a persistent newspaper leg man suspects the evidence points to something more complicated. The original NBC series was sponsored by Mollé Brushless Shaving Cream.
