We live in a man’s world where the idea of productivity and contribution to society is defined on men’s terms. So obviously motherhood is left out of it. The moment we become mothers, that whole sense of achievement and competency is gone, even though what you just accomplished is far beyond anything you have ever done. So where are you left now, in depression and probably even rage.

It is ironic, how we use the word mom guilt to articulate our feelings of insufficiency, misbelief and disappointment in ourselves, When guilt is actually supposed to be felt when you did something wrong. Moms do so many right things  and yet they are always guilty. Let's dig deeper into why we feel so.
