In this episode, we are joined by Jerry Fu - a Conflict Resolution Coach for Asian-Americans. Here, we tackle conversations on expectations on what being an Asian is, dealing with adversity and diversity in our perspectives as children of immigrant parents, some fun conversation on the beauty of Salsa dancing, and the importance of good leadership in day-to-day encounters professionally and personally. Jerry worked as a pharmacist before he decided to jump into being a Conflict Resolution Coach, chime in as you learn more about his story.
We, as Asians, are stereotypically seen as submissive and agreeable and knowing the extent of where that can bring us, we are both in this conversation to really break down those barriers that we too are able to have healthy and necessary confrontations to address the direct or indirect discrimination that we face.
I am truly honoured to be joined by Jerry, who is able to shed some light on the importance of leadership in our communities, how we are able to uplift each other.
