The first episode of Season 2 couldn't be more relevant for the start of a new year and the start of a new brand. We’re going back to the basics with creating a brand from concept to launch, all the steps in between, and beyond. Throughout season 2, we’ll use local businesses as case studies, including my own, and breakdown successes and failures. We’ll discuss how to get started, transition with change, and how to stay relevant in a fast moving ever changing world. In this season, we'll start each episode off with a personal update, followed by an industry update that has relevance to the episode. I hope your year is off to a great start!
You must be at least 18+ years old at the time of application submission and if your existing business or startup matches the requirements.
I am super excited to announce that we are launching a special contest and fundraiser for a new program, the Mommy Jerk Academy!
I’ll summarize the program and contest here, but you can find all the details, contest rules, exclusions, legal stuff and more info on how to enter later this week at mommyjerk.media/mja2021
Mommy Jerk Academy will act as a catalyst, enabling female-founded and diverse startups to spring their business at the vulnerable early stage of inception, through the crucial seed investment.
Our aim is to empower women by offering affordable tools and support to establish new businesses, stabilize their existing companies, generate sustainable profits, strategize for future growth and contribute to the growth and economic development of their respective communities.
By sponsoring our programs to help us reach our fundraising goals, you or your organization are not only contributing to social good, but also creating an excellent opportunity to meet promising early-stage female founders!
We invite female owned and gender-diverse startups from all over the US to participate in our essay and pitch Startup Competition.
We also invite individuals and organizations to sponsor this project to help us further our mission and award upcoming innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders to help accelerate their journey on their path to success.

Lindsay is a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina who found herself striving for better overall health in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her lifestyle change led her to become a certified health coach to offer the same gifts and self-awareness to others. She is also a wife and mom to a 2 and 5 year old.
Being busy at home and work herself, Lindsay understands the difficulty and importance of integrating health into daily life.
She found that true health encompasses every aspect - mind, body, and spirit.
For those in search of whole health, her passion is to help awaken each of those aspects in you.
Listen along as Lindsay and I chat about life as a working mom, maneuvering pandemic life with kids, and how to kick start your own journey on a path to better overall health.
Lindsay Scruggs, Nurse Practitioner and Health Coach shares tips and advice on how to kickstart your health (and mental health) goals. Early Release of full episode drops on Patreon next week (Patrons Only), and Friday non-subscribers.

Welcome! In this episode, our very first, I dig into my background and provide a little context and frame the goals for where we're headed. I've never done this before and this is waaay outside my comfort zone. So bear with me and my learning curve ;) Thanks, Colette
