  • Deplorable Business: The Trump Organization's Conflicts of Interest
Newsweek's Kurt Eichenwald had Twitter a-twitter yesterday with the promise of a bombshell story to be published today: and he was right. Eichenwald's article pulls the curtain on Donald Trump's multi-pronged business deals throughout the world, which would represent huge conflicts of interest should he be elected President. MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills discuss the Newsweek article and other news of the week, including the new concerns over the health of both Trump and Hillary Clinton - and Clinton's speech over the weekend characterizing some of Trump's supporters as "deplorable." An Engender Media Group production.

  • The Republican Nominee is Rubble
If last night's Commander in Chief Forum was a warm-up for the debates, we're in for an interesting time. Hopefully, Hillary Clinton will be allowed enough time to answer her questions with the complexity they deserve. And Donald Trump will likely be a rubble of word salad. MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about the Presidential race and other 2016 election news - plus a discussion of Phyllis Schlafly, who passed away Sunday. Politics from a progressive point of view. An Engender Media Group production.

  • Donald Goes to Mexico
Donald Trump tried to look presidential yesterday with his impromptu visit to Mexico - where he was not particularly wanted. The MOMocrats are not sure what unpopular Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto was trying to accomplish with the invitation, but it did allow Trump to once again dominate the news cycle on a day that he was finally making a policy speech on immigration. Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills will have something to say about  that, as well as other political news of the week.

  • Trump: Mexicans Are Great People!
Kellyanne Conway continues her Donald Trump makeover, but will it stick? (And if it does, will anyone forget? Not to mention the fact that Trump and the white supremacist alt-right are still wedded to one another). Over on the Democrats' side, the Clintons answer criticism about the appearance of impropriety surrounding their Foundation. And Bernie Sanders begins a next chapter tonight with the launch of Our Revolution - but not without some birthing pangs. MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills discuss the week's political news from the progressive point of view. An Engender Media Group production.

  • Trump Campaign Doubles Down
News broke today of another major reshuffling of Donald Trump's campaign team: Professional political consultant Paul Manafort has been demoted amid new questions about his ties to Russia and Ukraine. In his place is Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon, who will likely revert back to the primary strategy of "letting Trump be Trump." We are expecting Trump to double down on all the things that have made his polling number plummet even in reliably red states. The only bit of campaign news that makes the MOMocrats nervous is the announcement that deposed Fox News chief Roger Ailes - who presumably has a lot more time on his hands - will be active behind the scenes helping the Trump campaign with debate prep (and likely advertising, which he is genius at). Oh, and Donald Trump was supposed to get his first classified briefing today. That makes MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills very nervous too.

  • President Obama's Most Personal Speech
MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills recap the horrific events of the last week, the ongoing horror of people of color dying at the hands of white cops during minor violations - and the terror in Dallas after a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest was shot up by a disturbed "good guy with a gun" aiming for police officers. President Obama's speech at the memorial on Tuesday was one of the most poignant of his career. Discussion also turned to the upcoming party conventions, the differences in the party platforms, Bernie Sanders' endorsement of Hillary Clinton and a changing of the guard in the UK.

  • The End of the Conservative Era on the Supreme Court?
The unexpected death of Antonin Scalia changed everything on the Supreme Court this year: and even though his seat has yet to be filled, there were some 4-4 ties and decisions that progressives can cheer about. That trend can be expected to continue if our next President is a Democrat. This could be the end of 50 years of court domination by Republican appointees. The MOMocrats welcome legal scholar and court watcher Jessica Mason Pieklo of Rewire to talk all things SCOTUS. Donna Schwartz Mills and Karoli will also have a few words to say about the Brexit, the Trump campaign and speculation of a Clinton-Warren ticket.
