There have been a rash of images that have gone viral in the wake of Ferguson, but the one that struck home to the MOMocrats depicted Florida student Frances Francois holding up a sign reading: "I Can't Believe I STILL Have to Protest This S**T!!"  Fifty years after Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law, we can't believe it, either. Michael Brown's killing by a Ferguson cop is not an isolated case -- unarmed people of color are killed by police in communities all over the country, the militarization of local forces is an ongoing and disturbing trend. MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about the ongoing protests.

California's ballot proposition process was meant to give the people more of a say in legislation, but the process has become entirely corrupted by money and special interests. Proposition language makes the proposals sound like good ideas, but like the legendary Trojan Horse, buried within the legalese are often provisions that have entirely different consequences. And lately, when a bad idea proposition is enacted in one state, thanks to organizations like ALEC, they tend to pop up on ballots all over the country.

Proposition 46 is billed as a patient safety act, by requiring physicians to undergo drug and alcohol testing. But there's more to it than that.

Yesterday's ruling on Obamacare subsidies by a three-judge panel on the DC Court of Appeals was just a hiccup. That ruling was followed by a contradictory one, from the 4th Circuit Court that upholds subsidizing Federal exchange premiums.
