The natural changes your body makes while carrying a baby and the time taken to adjust post baby should be celebrated. The sad truth is our society leaves moms hating themselves everyday while simultaneously putting expectations on them that they must be joyous in this time of great ups and downs. Unfortunately this only feeds the diet culture binge/restrict cycle that increases body comparison and shaming which is set as the normal for our children. In this episode I dive in to postpartum statistics with eating disorders and the time we should appreciate our bodies the most.

What started out as a 30 Day quarantine challenge to gain a sense of accomplishment and consistency through the turmoil around us turned in to a journey of self exploration. Ranaan challenged me to do something daily after he challenged himself to 30 days of pull ups. While I hemmed and hawed over what I wanted to conquer and share I landed on an self love journey through daily affirmations, self discovery, and my intuitive relationship with food.

Hi I'm Emily! In my first episode, I wanted to introduce you to me and my family. Today I'm diving in to what makes me tick and all sorts of childhood stories that have brought me to today because otherwise it's super awkward later when I reference things in my life with no context (ha!). I love to get creative but have majorly struggled with self esteem and body image issues. I'm excited to use this podcast to help and inspire you to break free from whatever is holding you back by sharing tips and anecdotes as well as curated guests to help you live a more mindful fulfilled life!
