The natural changes your body makes while carrying a baby and the time taken to adjust post baby should be celebrated. The sad truth is our society leaves moms hating themselves everyday while simultaneously putting expectations on them that they must be joyous in this time of great ups and downs. Unfortunately this only feeds the diet culture binge/restrict cycle that increases body comparison and shaming which is set as the normal for our children. In this episode I dive in to postpartum statistics with eating disorders and the time we should appreciate our bodies the most.
