With holidays coming up, we are going to take the next 2 weeks off. Next meeting will be Jan 7th
Got some ideas/guests planned for 2019, but if you have any suggestions hit us up via email, twitter, slack, etc.
Start thinking of 2019 goals. Our meeting on Jan 7th will be discussing the goals for the new year.MAIN DISCUSSION:
Thinking of topics and wondering if anyone would like to share what their ideal work week would look like in your freelance business. versus what actually occurs? I'm sure we all strive for an ideal work day, week but how many times are we derailed into working late extra hours, or too many revisions with projects that end up overlapping. I'm trying to find balance where i'm at right now and love the flexibility I get from working remotely as a freelancer, but wonder how everyone else goes about it, like do you guys get projects that are a month or so long, or a few weeks, or do you get stuff done relatively quickly and wait most of the time? Could even break this down to how we structure our days to getting in paid work done along with getting in self marketing, professional development?
What is an ideal work day, week?
How do people manage their days to keep up the work life balance?
How are days structured?
How long are projects? A month long, just a few weeks or days?Schedule things out with a minimum of a half day, ideally a full day. Tell your clients it is so you can guarantee quality in the work you're doing, so you're not jumping around to multiple project.
