Asking someone for advice is one of life's greatest compliments. The unique thing about it is that it's almost impossible to refuse to offer advice when asked. When asked for advice, you give it; when you ask others, they offer it.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? In this episode, Phil shares his answer to this question.

When something is always available, like electricity, we can take the convenience for granted — until it stops working. That's the situation Phil found himself in one morning as a summer storm caused his power to go out. But, with some ingenuity and memories of 'living off the grid" from his grandparents, he managed to make coffee and get ready for the day with minimal fuss. Sometimes things aren't always going to go as planned, but how we adapt will make all the difference.

Phil has continued to reflect on the part of his eulogy over the last few weeks. Listen to this episode to be inspired to live like Doc.

Phil recently watched A League of Their Own. It features what he considered one of the best quotes in movie history, "It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great."
When the going gets tough, it's easy to quit. A lot of times, we want to quit.
But, the accomplishments we are most proud of were usually challenging; they required effort and persistence. In this episode, Phil encourages you to remember and remind others of this as you mentor and coach them.
