Isaiah's description of what is to come, and John the Baptist insisting that we prepare the way of the Lord, we should realize that we are the peace that the world needs. It is up to all of us to bring peace into the world. This makes the path for Christ to come into the world, and makes peace possible. May you find that peace for yourself, and share it.

All Saints Day is special to me. It is a day to remember those whose faith has helped shaped my own. It is also the anniversary of my ordination to ministry in the United Church of Christ, ordained November 1, 1992. For me, a special place in my heart is held for Professor James Loder of Princeton Theological Seminary, who gave me the language of faith which still supports me all these years later.
