We begin our 'Ham-o-Ween '18' month on Mondo Kanye with a blast from our past, the sadly discontinued horror movie show 'Wild Cherry Massacre'. Since the show ended, we've had multiple requests to repost the episodes, so what better month to do that then October? This was the premiere episode where Brad and Katie discussed the teen slasher film 'All the Boys Love Mandy Lane' starring Amber Heard and a bunch of 'that guys/girls'. We discuss the vagaries of the drinking game 'kings', find out which character is a 'trampy whats-it', 'Antichrist scissors', and of course WATER MOCCASINS. Truly one of our finest episodes.
On a very personal and not at all empirical episode of Grand Upper, Brad discusses his favorite video game characters of all-time. Does he include timeless franchise players like Mario, Sonic, Master Chief, Link, Samus, or Ryu? No. But there is a lot of talk about former Philadelphia 76er Clarence Witherspoon. Yeah, it's gonna be one of THOSE shows. Don't take it too seriously.
We're back with the conclusion to our Top 20 Albums Engineered by Steve Albini list. There are some consensus all-timers on this show, as well as a LOT of surprising entries that deserve to be mentioned in that same rarified air. This is an excellent show full of excellent records.
It's list time on Deep Rotation as we discuss the Top 20 Albums engineered by the wonderful curmudgeon Steve Albini. The man has worked on some of the most seminal albums of the past 30 years, and we're counting down the best IN OUR OPINION. Yeah, we're really courting controversy with this list, and we get there almost immediately. Did your favorite album make the list? Possibly! Is it too low for your liking? Almost Certainly! Regardless, we hope you enjoy the show.
It's a new day (yes it is) for Deep Rotation as we decide to cast our proverbial nets much wider with a new format. In the spirit embracing the true scope of the musical spectrum, we will be discussing several very different albums with each show as opposed to just one, and my goodness these albums couldn't get much different. Finnish avant-folk? Animated Eurotrash pop? West Coast G-Funk? We got them all covered plus much more on this exciting new beginning for Deep Rotation.
Albums Discussed:
Paavoharju - "Laulu Laakson Kukista" (2008).
Prozzak - "Hot Show" (1998).
The Mummies - "Never Been Caught" (1992).
Above the Law - "Uncle Sam's Curse" (1994).
The Free Design - "Kites Are Fun" (1967).
Zapp - "Zapp" (1980).
Coil - "Horse Rotorvator" (1986).
We're back with the inevitable Part Two of our Zombie Browns talk, and really it's clearly the main event. We're trying to assemble the worst Zombie Browns team possible, and it's as depressing as it sounds. Just how many first round washouts made the list? The more frightening question is how many first round washouts were deemed TOO GOOD for this roster? The answer to both is the same: Too many.
Welcome to the premiere episode of Webster Slaughterhouse, the Mondo Kanye sports show. On this episode, hosts Brad and Doug Fetrow attempt to create a roster of the best Cleveland Browns players since their return to the league in 1999, and (Spoiler Alert) wow is it a sad state of affairs. Some choices are easy (Joe Thomas, Joe Haden), but determining what the best Browns QB since 1999 is makes for an arduous task to say the least. Still, this was a fun show and we hope you'll check out our obvious Part 2 to this journey: The Worst 'Expansion Era' Browns.
On this semi-special episode of Devastating Enzuigiri, Brad discusses his trip to see actual live wrestling at AIW in Cleveland for their Absolution event.
Brad loves trivia. His current bar trivia night has been out of commission for a month now, and has left a void in his life. So he played 'Jeopardy' on the Sega Genesis to try and fill said void. The results? A really dumb episode of Grand Upper. Enjoy?
On this episode of Deep Rotation, Brad discuses one of the biggest "what-ifs" in modern music, The Exploding Hearts.
