This week Brad discusses stoner rock/metal band Clutch with his friend Mike Mercier.
On this episode, Brad (aka Old Navy Spice) has Stephanie Mellott (Buzzbin Art & Music Shop) on to discuss dance punk/ noise rock duo Death From Above 1979. They also talk about MySpace music, staying relevant and embarassing teenage stuff. Dope.
On this episode, Brad discusses the mysterious folk artist Connie Converse with his friend Emily (and her cat), her tumultuous life and her strange disappearance.
This week, Brad and his friend Morgan tackle the goth/industrial titan Marilyn Manson in a long conversation, mostly about how often Manson replaces band members only to have them sue him later.
The first bonus episode of Deep Rotation is a strange one, as Brad discusses the MTV Party to Go '99 compilation. Why? I"m not sure, but he does rant about Mark McGrath a lot. So there's that.
Our cup (or can as the case may be) runneth over on today's episode. This time around Brad talks to Nick Brewer (Squids, Inhale Exhale, many more bands) about the artpunk/emo/indie band Blood Command. They also discuss growing up religious, musical blind spots and Nick's many band names. Its a drunken lovefest up in this piece. Dope.
This is a weird one. This episode Brad sits down with Sam Miller (Descendants of Trees) to discuss the "swamp metal" band Acid Bath. At a bar. With bar things going on behind them. The dudes work past it as they discuss the macabre, strange live gigs and BEING METAL. Brutal stuff, yo.
Today we have DOUBLE PENNA MAGIC on Deep Rotation as the Penna Bros. come on to discuss hot dogs, but soon get derailed and get into a discussion about the seminal grunge band Pearl Jam.
Brad flies solo again as he discusses the vaporwave artist Macross 82-99. Actually, it's (kanji characters) Macross 82-99, but its close enough. Thrill as Brad discusses The Weather Channel's Local on the 8's, "Zoop", and the myriad of forgotten musical ephemera this dude draws from. Plus, Brad has language barrier issues and sinus problems. Dope.
It's episode number eight, and Brad flies solo again to discuss the seminal post-hardcore/emo(ish)/etc band Drive Like Jehu. Exciting stuff, yo.
